Not sure if this is the right board? The mummy page Laura referenced here:

discusses this:
The Spirit Cave mummy is the oldest human mummy found in North America. It was discovered in 1940 in Spirit Cave, thirteen miles east of Fallon, Nevada - snip - In 1994 University of California, Riverside anthropologist R. Erv Taylor examined seventeen of the Spirit Cave artifacts using mass spectrometry. The results indicated that the mummy was approximately 9,400 years old – older than any previously known North American mummy.

This reminded me of an old topic I was pursuing back in 2007-8. I was researching (in lazy mode) the ruins on top of the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming, USA. They were discovered in the late 19th century, initially dated to 11,000 years old. Finding info about them was not so easy. To date, I have one photo, the original discoverer's report, and reference to these ruins from that most unusual little book "Dweller on Two Planets."

The first image I found is this one:

And this image appears on a page now in 2012 with a conspiracy taste  :

In 2010, I got some friends and a researcher together to go climb for ourselves. We arranged survey equipment, etc., but my main climbing partner broke his foot. And then I guess life moves on. But the Mummy page reminded me of all of this, so perhaps now I'll make more progress in the investigation!

Networking: Does anyone know or believe anything about these ruins?

Thanks for the bump, and for your time!
