Just to add to the points made be Psalehesost and l apprenti de forgeron, many things seem to be pointing to the fact that since the Ukraine crisis escalated in late February, and culminated in the Crimea returning to Russia, the agents of the foreign agenda in Russia have lost just about all their influence. They either have to shut up and go along with Putin's agenda and the national mood, or just try to go into hiding, at least for a while.
Furthermore, Putin's actions are VERY popular, and the people want him to be much more "hardline," but Putin is a very patient strategist and is not prone to making precipitous moves.
