🚨#BREAKING: A Critical NOTAM Warning has been Issued for Kwajalein Atoll saying Hazardous Area with Potential for Loss of Life Cautioned to Avoid Extreme Radiation Hazards

📌#Kwajalein | #MarshallIslands

A critical NOTAM warning has been issued to airmen for Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The notice states: "Attention to all aircraft operating in the vicinity of Kwajalein Atoll. For your safety, overflight of the island north of the runway is prohibited due to hazardous conditions that pose a potential risk to life. All arrivals and departures must follow south traffic only to avoid extreme radiation hazards. Please contact base operations on 126.2 within 50 nautical miles of Kwajalein AAF. Ensure you contact base ops prior to departure to deconflict with radiation hazards. The exact reason is currently unknown at this time but this could be likely a military testing or possible radar feed
Not to worry he says. Have my doubts, though.
Due to the recent NOTAM issued for the airspace around Kwajalein Atoll, Twitter has gone into a frenzy about what caused the NOTAM, including rumors about nuclear tests or a radioactive leak. However, it's important to consider the history and usual activities conducted in this region. The NOTAM is more likely related to routine radar tests associated with the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, which is known for its frequent evaluations and calibration operations. These tests are a standard procedure and are critical to the ongoing development and enhancement of the United States' missile defense systems.

The Kwajalein Atoll, particularly the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, has been an essential location for the advancement of the U.S. missile defense capabilities. The radar tests carried out here are instrumental in providing the necessary data to refine defense technologies. The activities typically involve the use of powerful radars, which, during testing phases, could emit high levels of electromagnetic radiation. This would necessitate the issuance of a NOTAM to ensure the safety of aircraft and their occupants by temporarily restricting airspace access during the tests.

It is also noteworthy to mention that these tests are meticulously planned and executed within the framework of strict safety protocols. The U.S. Department of Defense adheres to rigorous standards to ensure the safety of personnel and the environment. These operations are not indicative of any immediate nuclear threat or hazard to the public. The NOTAM in question, therefore, serves as a precautionary measure to safeguard all air traffic from the potential risks associated with such high-intensity radar testing, rather than being a signal of nuclear activity.

Kwajalein Atoll (/ˈkwɑːdʒəlɪn/; Marshallese: Kuwajleen [kʷuwɑzʲ(ɛ)lʲɛːnʲ])[1] is part of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). The southernmost and largest island in the atoll is named Kwajalein Island, which its majority English-speaking residents (about 1,000 mostly U.S. civilian personnel)
The US Navy has hosted a naval base on Kwajalein Island since World War II. It was the final resting place of the German cruiser Prinz Eugen after it survived the Operation Crossroads nuclear test in 1946. In the late 1950s, the US Army took over the base as part of their Nike Zeus anti-ballistic missile efforts, and since then the atoll has been widely used for missile tests of all sorts. Today it is part of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, with various radars, tracking cameras, missile launchers, and many support systems spread across many islands. One of the five ground stations used in controlling the operation of the Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation system is located on Kwajalein.[2]

Kwajalein Atoll-Wikipedia The atoll is also used as a base for orbital rocket launches with the Pegasus-XL rocket,[3] and previously had a base for SpaceX for their Falcon 1 rocket.[4]

Kampala-SANA- The 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement kicked off this morning in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, with the participation of Syria via an official delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh.

Delivering an opening speech, President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, reviewed the history of this movement and the values and principles it established, noting that the developments our world is witnessing today require adhering to them and strengthening cooperation among its members to face new challenges.

The Palestinian Question and the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people were the focus of the leaders’ speeches delivered during the session, as they voiced their strong support for the Palestinians in their quest to obtain their inalienable rights, most notably the establishment of their independent Palestinian state, in addition to mobilizing efforts to stop the ongoing aggression against them since more than a hundred days.

The speeches also attached great importance to reviving the spirit of solidarity among the movement’s member states to overcome the various challenges they face.

The former director of the National Security Directorate and Assad's closest adviser has been killed in Syria
The 77-year-old former head of the National Security Bureau (NSB), a close associate of President Bashar al-Assad, was allegedly killed after recently being removed from his post and appointed as a presidential security adviser.

Prior to his removal, this senior official, who was sanctioned by the European Union and the United States for alleged actions against demonstrators during the Syrian revolution, held one of the key positions in the country's leadership. He was replaced by General Kifa al-Milhem, director of the Syrian National Security Directorate of the Baath Party.

According to Syrian media reports, after a serious illness, the Mamluk was hospitalized and subsequently died. In 2015, rumors were already spreading about his serious health condition and his presumed death.

However, opposition sources claim that the Mamluk, who belongs to the Alawites, like the Assad family, was killed by the Iranian guards of the Islamic Revolution. It is assumed that the reason was suspicion of passing information about their activities to the Israeli authorities.
