Russia Begins Operations in Syria: End Game for the US Empire?

Observing the calculated moves and speech patterns of Erdogan - gives a clear example of what personal greed and attaining POWER and influence can cast destruction in it's path. Very little difference between Erdogan and Netanyahu, in the ways and means of obtaining illicit gains for oneself!

Turkey denies flouting agreement with Russia in Syria's Idlib province
Turkey dismissed on Saturday Russian accusations that its actions in Syria's Idlib province have flouted de-escalation agreements with Russia and Iran, and said it would take military action in the area if diplomatic efforts with Moscow fail.

Turkey says Syria dispute won't affect Russian S-400 defense deal

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday that differences over Syria should not affect Ankara's relations with Moscow or disrupt its contract for the purchase of Russian S-400 missile defenses, Russian news agencies reported.

Erdogan, Trump discuss immediate halt to Idlib crisis: Turkish presidency
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump exchanged views on an immediate halt to fighting in Syria's Idlib province Saturday, the Turkish presidency said. The two leaders agreed by phone that Syrian government forces’ attacks in the northwestern province, which killed 13 Turkish troops, were unacceptable, it said in a statement.

Russian artist and former mayor of Arkhangelsk Alexander Donskoy picks up a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin at Istiklal Street in Istanbul, Turkey February 15, 2020.

However shortly after Alexander Donskoy unveiled his “Putin is Russia?” project in Istiklal Street, authorities took down his paintings because he had not received permission to display them there.

“Currently, we have an exacerbation of relations with Turkey,” artist Alexander Donskoy told Reuters. “So, I show here, right in the center of Turkey, on its main street where the Russian embassy is at, that Putin is Russia.”

“I wanted to draw attention to how Putin is taken in Russia: like a superhero. So I wrote on portraits ‘Putin is superhero’,”

Donskoy said.

Turkey and Russia back opposing sides in the Syrian war but have collaborated to seek a political solution, while forging close ties in the defense and energy sectors.

But a Russian-backed Syrian government offensive since December in the northwestern Idlib region has disrupted ties. Ankara and Moscow have traded barbs in recent days, accusing each other of flouting agreements to curb violence in Idlib.

Media reports this week have cited the Russian ambassador to Turkey as saying he had received several death threats since tensions flared after 13 Turkish troops were killed in Idlib in Syrian government attacks.

Donskoy said he wanted to provoke emotions in people passing by the paintings and see their reactions. He said he planned to hold more exhibits elsewhere, including in the United States.

“There will be more in the countries of Western democracy. So I will show that the Russian people consider sanctions against Putin like sanctions against themselves,” he said.

“So, I am an ambassador of peace.”

I know, the proper way of dealing with Erdogan is through dialog and Diplomacy BUT ... how do you talk any sense into the mind of a power-hungry maniac?

Turkish delegation to visit Moscow to discuss Syria's Idlib: TASS
A Turkish delegation will visit Russia on Monday to discuss the situation in Idlib

The delegation is set to meet tomorrow but I wonder ... what would the outcome be "if" Syrian forces (backed by a Russian offensive) would seize Idlib, just like they accomplished to take Aleppo back? Erdogan would not have a leg to stand on or a good enough argument to stay in Idlib? Assad could order Erdogan and his proxies out and close off the Border. Then, do the same with the U.S.

February, 16, 2020 -
A major drone attack led by Takfiri militants was repelled in the central province after Syrian electronic-warfare specialists hacked and safely downed five unmanned aerial vehicles flying over the oil refinery in Homs, SANA reported.

In early February, foreign-sponsored Takfiri militants launched a drone strike against a gas field and a number of energy facilities in the country’s central province of Homs, causing fire and material damage.

The drones targeted al-Rayyan gas field, the Ebla gas plant, the South Central region gas factory and the Homs refinery.

The refinery in Homs is one of Syria’s two main refineries, covering most domestic demand for diesel, heating fuel, gasoline and other products.

And now this, life can finally return to normal.

But Assad, in an appearance televised by state media, also cautioned that the conflict was not yet over.

“We know this liberation does not mean the end of the war or the crushing of all plots or the end of terror or the surrender of the enemy but it definitely rubs their noses in the dirt,” Assad said. “This is a prelude to their (opposition forces’) final defeat, sooner or later,” he added.

Turkey's sudden crazy aggression:
It appears that CIA is seriously pushing Erdogan in hopes that Turkey - a NATO member - will go to war with Syria. Then they must push NATO to help Erdogan as well. In their demented mind then Erdogan should also declare war on Russia. So CIA-Mossad can give heavy support to NATO to go to war with Russia as well, plunging the entire Eurasian region into chaos with Russia and China embroiled in a war.
Looks like with this "Sudden Turkish Aggression Project"[sic], the Deep Staters hope they'll finally become Pax Americana and enjoy their superiority as The Chosen Übermenschen, The Eugenics Practicing Elect, Proud Sole Superpower of Earth.

Erdogan may be a power hungry, demented maniac but he's not stupid. He might be pushing the limits with Russia - so he can get "concessions" to hold onto Idlib but Syria's Assad is still very much in the equation. I doubt that Erdogan wants a direct military confrontation with Russia? Russian and Iranian Forces would come in heavy and push Erdogan and what's left of his proxies, over the Turkish-Syrian Border. If something like that happened, Assad could turn the tables on Erdogan and demand "a safety zone" from the Syrian Border and into Turkey territory, the same tactic Erdogan used to get access to Syrian oil wells and occupy Idlib. Assad could then demand - just like Erdogan did - for joint military patrols in the safety zone. What Erdogan is pulling off can work both ways, if conditions are right. Add, American forces and it's proxies are often in close proximity to Turkish camps and the Americans would be forced out along with Turkish forces. The Americans don't want to lose control of the Syrian/Iraq Border - that's their supply line. Especially now, as NATO plans on adding more Troops and hardware into Iraq. The American's (Pentagon) isn't interested in Idlib but in taking over Syria, as a whole - right up to the Russian Border.

Assad has vowed to take back "all Syrian territory" and after Idlib, I imagine the Golan Heights will be next. By that time, I suspect, Netanyahu will no longer be at the helm in Israel? The third Israeli election is scheduled in less then 3 weeks and the outcome looks much the same for Netanyahu, as the other two elections. Plus, this corruption trial, set to begin 2 weeks later, adds to Netanyahu's down fall.

Turkish defeat, nuke warning

Syrian Army Repelled Al-Nayrab Attack, Russian Warplanes Provided Support
The failed attack on al-Nayrab was the largest Turkish-backed operation against the SAA in Idlib’s de-escalation zone, thus far. Such provocations by Ankara jeopardize the chances of a peaceful solution for the region’s crisis.

Days ago there were reports that Turkey is amassing a bigger force to attack the Syrian army in Idlib. Yesterday, when I read about it, it felt & looked like that [there hovered a good potential possibility] over this bigger armed Turkish force that it will be squashed like a bug in the days to come. The destruction of this concentrated Turkish force could truly unhinge / psychologically destabilize its leaders. Then what? Erdogan surely will feel lots of frustration in addition to his recent mounting frustrations.

Right beside the potential destruction of the Turkish force, at the same time, I also felt, that there is a clear intent in that conflicted Middle-Eastern area to drop a nuke there.

But who would be willing to risk a nuclear explosion in a populated area? Well the first open mention of "I hope there won't be any need for nukes" came from President Putin right around when Russia first deployed in Syria. He probably used the phrase to emphasize he was serious in exterminating all terrorists in the region.

Then there was the story about Netanyahu years ago that only his generals stopped Bibi from bombing an entire stadium filled with Goyim. Bibi really didn't care about mass deaths, but his generals convinced him, it would make Israel look really bad in the media if reports somehow came out about the stadium-bombing massacre.

There there is increasingly erratically behaving Erdogan, who might very well be inclined to drop a tactical nuke onto SAA positions.

Feb. 19, 2020 - Aleppo International Airport on Wednesday morning received the first flight from Damascus City as the airport was opened to air traffic after more than eight years hiatus in fear for the safety of the passengers due to the shillings by terrorists in the suburbs of Aleppo City.

The flight carrying Syrian officials and journalists was a symbolic message from government, days after military forces consolidated control over the northwestern province of Aleppo and seized the last segments of the strategic M5 highway linking Aleppo to Damascus. The motorway between Syria’s two biggest cities was being repaired and was scheduled to reopen in coming days, for the first time in eight years, SANA reported.

Russia says ‘no’ to Syria ceasefire, top UN diplomats say

February 20, 2020 - Russia opposed the UN Security Council’s declaration for a ceasefire in north-west Syria, top UN diplomats said, after a tense closed-door meeting in New York, AFP reported.

“Basically, Russia said no, which is very painful,” Marc Pecsteen de Buytswerve, president of the United Nations Council for February, told reporters.

“There is no statement … It was not possible,” he added. “We tried very hard to have a press statement calling for cessation of hostilities and humanitarian access to Idlib,” Nicolas de Riviere, French ambassador to the United Nations, added.

Russia’s opposition to the statement was backed by China, AFP reported.

This is, in part, why Russia said NO to a ceasefire.

The Pentagon’s Syrian Train and Equip Program which reportedly cost $500 million was the public-facing part of a two-pronged effort in arming opposition groups in a bid to overthrow the Syrian government
and to push back Daesh. According to an updated Congressional Research Service (CRS) report, the program has seen more than $2.3 billion allocated towards it between fiscal years 2015 and 2021.

Meanwhile, the CIA’s own operation in arming Syrian opposition,Timber Sycamore, which included Saudi involvement has resulted in terrorist groups armed by both parties fighting one another in Syria. Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham, a rebranded Al-Qaeda affiliate, was one such group benefitting from the CIA operation.

US lost track of $715m in weapons sent to anti-Daesh allies in Syria

February 20, 2020 -The US government has failed to account for nearly $715.8 million in weapons and equipment funnelled to its Syrian allies involved in the multinational counter-offensive against Daesh, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Department of Defence.

Officials with the Special Operations Joint Task Force-Operations Inherent Resolve (SOJTF-OIR), which is part of the Combined Joint Task Force (the US military’s mission in Syria) reportedly “did not maintain comprehensive lists of all equipment purchased and received” to supply its allies fighting against Daesh, known as CTEF-S equipment in the fiscal years 2017 and 2018.

In addition to failures in accounting for the weapons purchased and received, they were also not stored properly, causing many to rust or become vulnerable to theft. “This occurred because SOJTF-OIR personnel did not divest or dispose of CTEF-S equipment, which led to overcrowding at the BPC Kuwait warehouse”.

According to the Military Times, some of the equipment has ended up in the hands of Daesh and Al-Qaeda affiliates due to “battlefield losses by partner forces and as a result of Islamic State [Daesh] fighters plundering the armories of U.S.-backed groups in early 2014 as the jihadi group surged across Iraq and Syria”.
