Sarah Palin, the Christian Right and Fascism in America

Well, this is a real doozy! Palin gives an on-camera interview while turkeys are bled dry in the background.
Palin pardons turkey as bird bleeds out on camera

In 1963, President Kennedy decided to let the White House turkey live instead of making dinner of it. George Bush Sr. was the first president since to pardon a seasonal fowl, in the waning months of 1993, and his son followed suit through his presidency.

Now Alaska Governor and failed Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has mimed presidential tradition, but her effort at winged mercy was 'cut' short. As she staged an impromptu press conference after pardoning one lucky bird, a worker at the Triple D Farm and Hatchery in Wasilla sliced a turkey's neck, bled it out and twisted its head off behind the governor, directly in the camera's line of fire.

A reporter asked Palin if she was okay with the backdrop. The Alaskan Governor answered, "no worries." As the bird's head was removed, the man looked over his shoulder at the governor and reporters and flashed a toothy grin.

"I was happy to be invited to participate in, in this, and, uh, and, you know, for one, you need a little bit of levity in this job, especially with a, uh, so much that has gone on in the last couple of months that has been so, um, political, ah, obviously, that it's nice to get out and, and do something to promote a local business and, and to uh, just participate in something that isn't so, um, heavy-handed politics that, uh, invites criticism," said the governor in what appeared to be a single sentence.

"Certainly we'll even invite criticism for doin' this too, but at least this was fun!" she pronounced.

Video of interview can be seen at link. Alert: This is not for the squeamish.

For any normal man or woman , this is very embrassing. Will she feel the same way, if it is human murder behind instead of turkey ?. At least she is thankful that her son is alive in Iraq. She is an Embrassment central for US democracy or Governance in what ever form it is in .
By the way what sin Turkey's did to be punished first , to be pardoned later ( if any?) . This is another example of 'Stupidity' human belief system

Something interesting going on with Palin, although maybe you all may not think so.

My mother, who watches a LOT of tv, pointed out how Palin is being asked to be on several different talk shows, even Ophrah. And I read that she has a book deal going. Not to mention, I saw on some news site or other, a poll on whether or not Sarah should host a talk show herself.

What I am thinking, and of course I could be waaaaay off, is that somebody BIG (and I don't mean god) is putting money out to get her in the public spotlight so that she can infect all of the half-way decent thinking people with her incoherent, meaningless convoluted sentences that say absolutely nothing at all.

These people (can you spell Dominionist?) are trying to condition the public that was against Palin to start seeing the "good ole gal" as one of them, too, so that when she runs for president in 2010 she will be well-loved and accepted by all. :/

I don't know if that is it, but "they" are certainly trying very hard to get her into public view.

I think one of the reasons she is being asked on these TV shows is that she is such a polarizing figure that the ratings for these shows go up when they have her on. That's really all you need for the TV people to love her. It's all about the bottom line in that business, and controversy is great for ratings. See Jerry Springer ;)

Yep! That is so true. But it is hard, for me at least, to even listen to her trying to string enough words together to make a coherent sentence, let alone a paragraph, that it would seem that desensitizing people, who have also commented on this in articles, would be a goal that those in control would like to accomplish. But, like I said, I am probably way off on this.

Gads, it is very hard for me to even read articles about her she is so psychopathic. Now she will be all over the tv brainwashing the fluoridated people into just loving her. :umm:

Sorry for the rant. :-[

When it comes to Palin, who knows with certainty what is actually happening. I can think of several reasons for her to be on TV and working on a book deal. The first thing that comes to mind, is for her to cash in NOW on her fifteen minutes of fame. For her to stay in the forefront of people's minds, she must do all she can to put herself in front of the people, as much as possible. Of course, her handlers, in my opinion, are certainly pushing her to maximize this situation for multiple reasons, one being the bucks they will receive themselves. Job security is number one when dealing with a team of psychopathic people, and I am sure that Palin is not the only psychopath in the mix.

This all ties into the plan in my opinion, as again, she is just taking advantage of what is available to her right now. It's as if she is riding her own 'wave of fame' and doing any and everything she can to keep the wave rolling along. Now, all this is pretty basic and understandable in today's times, or is it? What else could be going on here that might be running under the radar of most people? Could this be another smoke and mirrors project of the PTB to keep the masses dazed and confused about what is really happening?

I think the answer to your thoughts, Nienna, is YES. I may be way off course, but it all fits together in my mind. We have the Obama situation evolving on one front, keeping those whose eyes are on dreaming of change, focused on him. Then we have Palin, on the other side, keeping those who are focused on change in a different manner, mainly the Dominionist, focused on Palin. It is a beautiful plan to keep the masses totally consumed and occupied with nothing but subjective busy work. They are all so focused on these ponerised schemes, (IMHO) that they can't see the truth of what is actually happening to them.

My question is, 'Where is all this leading'? What is the main objective of the PTB at this time? I may be putting way to much into trying to figure out, such as, where they are headed with this, instead of keeping focused on my own work on myself. It just seems to be important for me, to see if I am seeing things as they really are.

Thanks to both you, gwb1995, and Pinkerton for your answers. I think that everything that is happening "out in the open" is there to keep us distracted. You know, for our viewing pleasure.

And, yes, staying focused on working on ourselves is very important. But as you said, trying to see things as objectively as possible is also important.

So I appreciate all feedback. Getting as many different views as possible as to what is really happening is what will help us to "see" that which is hidden in the end, or so I think.

The Anchorage Daily News is reporting that Palin will meet President-elect Obama early next week when she travels to Philadelphia after stumping for Chambliss in Georgia:
The governor is planning a trip to Georgia to campaign on behalf of Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss early next week on her way to Philadelphia to meet with her old foe, President-elect Barack Obama.

Obama is meeting with governors of both parties in Philadelphia to talk about the ailing economy. It's not clear how many governors are going to attend the Obama event, which the National Governors Association helped put together.

"I don't know if she has a one-on-one with (Obama)," said Palin spokesman Bill McAllister. "It may be, given that they were both involved in the national campaign." McAllister said Palin will be in Philadelphia on Monday and Tuesday, and the state will pay for it. He said the Chambliss campaign will pay for Palin's side trip to Georgia.

Does that mean...

Palin to Join Fox News as Contributor

2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is joining Fox News as a contributor, the news channel announced Monday.

The former Alaska governor, whose book, Going Rogue: An American Life, became a bestseller weeks before it was released and remains No. 2 on the New York Times bestseller list, has signed a multi-year deal to offer her political commentary and analysis across all Fox News platforms, including Fox Business Channel, FoxNews.com and Fox News Radio.

She will also participate in special event political programming for Fox Broadcasting.

"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news,"
Palin said in a written release.

Palin will also host periodic episodes of Fox News Channel's "Real American Stories," a series exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape that will debut in 2010.

"Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup," said Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming.

Prior to joining Sen. John McCain on the 2008 presidential ticket, Palin was the first woman to serve as governor of Alaska, taking the oath in 2006. As governor, she worked on improving resource development, education, health and transportation and infrastructure development.

Prior to holding the office of governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council in Alaska as well as two terms as the mayor and manager of Wasilla, and worked as an oil and gas industry regulator.

Owned by News Corp, Fox News Channel is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, entertainment and business news, and has been the most-watched cable news channel in the country for eight years running. It features the top 13 programs in cable news and can be seen in more than 90 million homes.

Yeah, she certainly showed herself to be Fox News material during her Katie Couric interview before the election...
