I wonder who exactly chose this day so that it would fail?

That's an interesting question. I was wondering if what was reported by the mainstream media was correct. This from the opt-out site:

Despite claims to the contrary, National Opt-Out Day was a rousing success. The entire point of the campaign was to raise awareness of the issues of privacy and aviation safety at TSA checkpoints, with the ultimate goal of influencing policy – to ask the question “are we really doing this right?” In that, the campaign was a success. It was always about getting attention to the issue, educating the public and putting pressure on to change the current procedures. With near daily headlines on the front page of newspapers and debates on television and radio news, the mission was accomplished – our voice was heard. By the time November 24 rolled around policy change had already been set in motion.

National Opt-Out Day was launched November 8. Since that time, we’ve seen some common sense applied to TSA security procedures. Congress and the Administration have also taken notice of the unease of the traveling public. Originally, the TSA Administrator said that their airport security policy would not change. Then pilots were exempt from their intrusive procedures. Then children 12 and under would not be subjected to the full rigors of the enhanced pat down. Then flight crews would be spared the degrading procedures. Then a scientist who worked on the body scanners said he made the government aware years ago about the privacy issue, and how to easily get around it, but his suggestion fell on deaf ears. Then the TSA Administrator said he never informed the public about the pat downs as he should have. Then TSA was forced to apologize for their egregious actions against some citizens in high-profile mishaps. Then TSA announced they would go back to see if the enhanced pat downs could be done in a different, less invasive way. And the changes keep coming. Indeed, there is some question as to whether there was any unofficial change in TSA procedures on November 24. Report after report came in from travelers at airports throughout the country about the body scanners not being in operation as they usually are, allowing TSA to circumvent the problem altogether by eliminating or limiting the chance for passengers to opt-out.

Ultimately, the hype built by the media for National Opt-Out Day turned the event into something that it could never be. They wanted the chaos at the airports, they wanted long lines and beyond-frustrated travelers because it would make a good story. The old saying, “if it bleeds, it leads” was certainly true in this case. In interview after interview, optoutday.com was consistently asked: “What do you say to those people who will miss their flights?” Consistently, our response back was that no one would miss their flights because of this, given that TSA is prepared to handle the situation, given that 80% of security checkpoints do not use the body scanners (and for those that do, they may not be operational), and given that asking people to experience an enhanced pat down was a big ask. Further, optoutday.com always mentioned that there was never any desire or intent to delay passengers or slow the system down. But the media would just not let it go. So they set their own narrative and were able to draw their own conclusion.

Optoutday.com still urges passengers to opt-out of the body scanners whenever possible, and will be keeping close tabs on any policy changes made by the TSA. Their actions will dictate what happens next.

To see such a 180 degree turn around in your state of mind in a day or so is understandable...but have you asked why/how/when such a dramatic change occurred?

Perhaps its simply 'battle fatigue'? I know its really hard to read all the news coming through and avoid becoming sick at heart from all the lies and worse. :( If I don't get away from it a little while, it becomes so nasty and leaves me beaten down to the point I'm numb and sick and so exhausted I can no longer feel anything....not even anger.

Balance is important. Perhaps a few days offline with the four footed kids is in order ey Guardian?

I'm surprised that theres not much resistance to this TSA molestation by the people. Then again it seems like Americans in general don't resist to much these days to the corruption created by the psychopaths. Countries in Europe are protesting against budget cuts, while here in America I never hear much about protests against budget cuts, let alone people taking about such matters! I suppose all the brain washing and dumping down of the American population has worked, literally creating a country of zombies! Sooner or later the bottle has to pop.

Can I ask, what happened to the fired up ready to take on the world Guardian that last posted before this post?

I listened to the videos of the kids being searched and got massively depressed.. All those people standing around doing NOTHING, including the parents, while those kids are being traumatized.

The reason I ask is that if your comments and enthusiasm produced a result of having damage control go into action (in the Washington post no less!) then perhaps other methods of dissuasion went into action against you??

What's funny is that as soon as I made just a few casual comments about what dogs can do on the facebook page, my "mystery friend" showed up again. One more "friend" than actually showes up in my list, and that hasn't happened since the USSF busts.

Yes, and I think I'm just tired of watching humans become willing cattle. It's their choice, and they are choosing to accept whatever their masters dictate.

As to the opt out day....the day being Thanks Giving - a national holiday!.....Laura already mentioned elsewhere (I think on the SoTT article comments) that choosing that day, it's almost certain everyone would fly no matter what!

I'm going on a trip early next year where I have no choice but to fly, so I've decided what I'm going to do in protest on my way back home. My roommate is knitting me an anatomically correct fake boob the same (rather large) size as my natural pair.

I'm modifying a bra by cutting it in half and adding a cup in the middle. When I take off my coat at security check in, I will have what looks like 3 (rather large) breasts under a snug t-shirt. I'm going to try to keep a straight face, look the TSA goon right in the eye and say "It's genetic" ...and of course get the whole encounter on video. Let's see what the TSA does when faced with triple ta tas.

Tell me a vid like that won't get some airplay :P

I have just come from this site: http://www.holocaust-history.org/lifton/LiftonT164.shtml and after reading much of the "selection and processing" something struck me.

History is again repeating itself.

Step by step, inch by inch we are coming closer to repeating Hitler's Nazi Fascist State.

It began with cameras on every street corner and in all major public buildings, continued with shoes off, body scanners, pat downs, wire taped phones, "relocation (fema) camps, orchestrated false flags, shortages and a invented "enemy".

How far will this madness go and does humanity ever learn from our past horrendous acts?

I studied the Holocaust in College and did a thesis on it.

God, in my humble opinion, we are again so close..................so very close. Am I the only one seeing the similarities building up?

What led to the tens of millions of human souls that were systematically murdered?

A condoned ignorance, apathy, manipulation, a sense of I will do whatever it takes to survive and screw my fellow human being.

Today the "enemy" is Islam, tomorrow it could be fat, disabled, mentally challenged or who knows. When any of us allow another to be murdered, we, in a sense give up our right to not being the next in line.

The site, is called, "The Nazi Doctors" and it really spooked me because I can see history repeating itself. The trains are coming again. Which of us will be on the guest list?

There is an underlying psychological issue here. The Nazi Prisoners were undressed, naked, exposed publically, hello, TSA anyone.

You can say no, I do not intend to fly with any airline that incorporates a body scanner, but I guarantee these scanners will be put into most major public buildings.

The noose is tightening, particularly here in America.

Walls going up to to safeguard our borders. Keep in mind, walls can be used both ways to keep people out but also to keep people imprisoned within.

Travel is being restricted.

Security tightened.

I've watched hundreds of hours of holocaust survivor's interviews and to me anyway, it does appear, that slowly but surely history is indeed gearing up to repeating itself.

Which of us will be designated to the left (death) line and which of us will be designated to the right (labor) line?

If memory serves me correctly, each train load contained approximately 2,000 people. Of those approximately 1,800 were designated to the left lines meaning death.

The ... man in charge of the work Kommando. And it was, . . .You go, you go by truck. You walk, you go by truck. A pattern pretty soon developed that you could see those under fourteen and over thirty-five were assigned to the trucks. And not until we actually marched into the camps did you know exactly where the trucks had gone .... and this was done, I mean, very fast, very efficient.

Next was a ritual reception by old inmates:

[We went] directly on foot to the camp, . . . and . . . the minute you came into the camp, . . . [there was] a so-called welcome committee of prisoners that would watch you until you could be processed into the sauna [shower]. Those were prisoners, Slovakian girls who had already been there since about one year before .... The only thing they were interested in first of all was to get everything they could get before the SS would get it from us, jewelry or watches, what have you, because they already were in the inner circle knowing how to manipulate and organize for food and things. And secondly, to immediately tell us what was waiting for you and what has happened, somehow [they thought]: "We've been here so long, you might as well know."

Note: The holocaust started out slowly and built up speed. Once it hit maximum speed things progressed very fast. So fast that the majority of people were powerless to do nothing but walk along to their death.
I get the feeling history is again repeating itself.

Cameras on every street corner, the body scanner and pat downs psychologically make the masses get use to being dehumanized. They become numb. And becoming numb is akin to a sheep lining up for slaughter.

The MIC is in control, large corporations like Phillips Laboratory, L3 Communications, Titan Corp, and Armstrong Laboratory to name a few, control and administer security in the US. Their products are electronic. Dogs and pigs aren't in their shopping lists unless they have brain implants and cybernetic parts.

The whole surveillance trip is part of the control mechanism and its not that it looks out at external enemies, the systems look in at the American people. They are the real threat to the MIC.
