MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Several people were stabbed Wednesday morning at a high school near Pittsburgh, and a suspect was taken into custody, an emergency official said.

Dan Stevens, the spokesman for Westmoreland County emergency management, said five or six people were reported stabbed at about 7:20 a.m. at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh.

It wasn't immediately clear if the suspect and the victims are students, adults or a mix of both. It doesn't appear that any of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, Stevens said, though several helicopters were seen flying people from the scene to area hospitals.

School officials and Murrysville police didn't immediately return calls seeking further details, but the school issued a bulletin on its website saying: "A critical incident has occurred at the high school. All elementary schools are canceled, the middle school and high school students are secure."

The district serves about 3,600 students who live in the bedroom communities of Murrysville, Export and Delmont. The elementary and middle schools are part of the same campus.

The high school was on lockdown, and students were being kept there as a precaution as school and law enforcement officials double-checked the premises. School officials were making arrangements to bus the middle school students home.

District Attorney John Peck said he was monitoring the situation. Detectives from his office were also investigating, though Peck said he had no information beyond that being reported by Pittsburgh television news stations.

New report says up to 20 people have been stabbed.

The suspect, a male student, has been detained.

No details of the incident are yet known, but early reports said that person ran
through the school slashing or puncturing students with a knife or other sharp object.

(CNN) -- A male sophomore went on a stabbing spree at his Pittsburgh-area high school early Wednesday, an emergency management agency spokesman said.

At least 20 students at Franklin Regional Senior High School were injured, and the alleged attacker is in custody, said Dan Stevens, a spokesman for Westmoreland County Emergency Management.

The violence, Stevens said, happened in classrooms and a hallway. Four people were flown to hospitals by helicopter, he said.

Seven teens and one adult were being treated at nearby Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, according to Dr. Chris Kaufmann. Their injuries are "quite serious," and "some are clearly life threatening," he said.

Victims were stabbed in their torso, abdomen, chest and back areas, and two people were sent to surgery immediately after arriving, he said. Those two patients had low blood pressure, he said. A third was being prepared for surgery Wednesday morning, and the rest were being evaluated to see whether surgery was necessary, he said.

Eleven victims were taken to four University of Pittsburgh Medical Center hospitals, UPMC spokesman Cindy McGrath said. One was sent to UPMC Presbyterian; four were taken to Children's Hospital; one was taken to UPMC Mercy; and five were taken to UPMC East. She did not have ages or conditions of the victims.

The students who were hurt range in age from 14 to 17, Stevens said. All of the injures are stabbing-related, such as lacerations or punctures, and there were no guns involved he, said.

Another horrfic incident, this time involving a freak car accident at a Day Care Center.

Orlando, Florida - 1 Child Dead, 14 hurt in Flordia Day Care crash
_http://news.yahoo.com/1-child-dead-14-hurt-florida-day-care-233630219.html

WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) — A car smashed into an Orlando-area day care Wednesday, killing a girl and injuring 14 others, at least a dozen of them children, and authorities were searching for the driver of an SUV who they say started the crash, officials said.

A Toyota Solara convertible went out of control after it was struck by a Dodge Durango, jumped a curb and smashed into the day care, breaking through the wall and into the building, said Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Wanda Diaz. The convertible driver was not hurt.

The Durango left the scene but was located almost two hours later after it had been abandoned at a home. The highway patrol said it is looking for 26-year-old Robert Corchado, who has been arrested eight times since 2000, according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement records. Troopers said he was the driver of the Durango, but wouldn't say how they established that. Troopers said Corchado may be trying to leave the area, and troopers and deputies headed to Orlando International Airport to look for him.

Diaz said a girl died at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, but she didn't have any more information on her. One person at the hospital was in critical condition and five others were in serious condition, said spokeswoman Katie Dagenais.

In all, 13 people were hospitalized and two others were treated at the scene, said John Mulhall, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Rescue.

Several of the injured at the KinderCare building in Winter Park were reported to be in "very, very serious condition," Diaz said.

A man answered the phone for a number listed to Corchado and hung up when he was asked, "May I speak to Robert Corchado."

"Please keep a lookout and let us know if you see anything," Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs said.

Corchado's most recent arrest was on a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a crash involving damage, a felony charge of selling narcotics and felony marijuana possession last December. He was out on more than $10,000 bond and had pleaded not guilty to the charges. His defense attorney in that case, Jack Kaleita, didn't return a phone call or email after business hours.

Department of Corrections records show he has served prison time for trafficking cocaine and extortion.

Jacobs called the crash an "absolute tragedy and disaster."

Gov. Rick Scott released a statement saying, "As a grandfather of three young children, I can't imagine losing such a precious life at such a young age. Today's hit-and-run was an act of cowardice, and members of the Florida Highway Patrol are working closely with local law enforcement to bring those who caused this crash to justice."

Local television footage showed small children and infants in cribs taken outside on the day care's playground and several of the injured were carried out on stretchers.

The highway patrol reported that the injured were taken to five different hospitals.

Late Wednesday afternoon parents could be seen waiting to pick up their children, and then clutching them in their arms as they were escorted to their vehicles by authorities.

The day care's website says the center provides childcare and learning opportunities for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old and has been in the community for over 25 years.

There's also this one, which I didn't see on sott. Some articles I checked out say
that there were 14, and others report 13 shootings.

The FBI is searching for a sniper in the Kansas City area after a string
of 14 frightening highway shootings there in one month. NBC’s John Yang reports.

http://www.newsmax.com/thewire/serial-sniper-sought-missouri/2014/04/10/id/564775/

Though law enforcement is not ruling out the possibility that there are multiple shooters, authorities say they've found similarities in at least some of the 13 recent shootings, though they would not provide any further details.

This was in the newspaper this morning (Daily Telegraph). I'm not a forebpnsic expert by any means, but I assume that enormous energy would be required to go stabbing multiple people. How was this teen capable of causing so much damage? And the news article here said that that there was no signs of any issues and everyone is perplexed as to why this teen went on a stabbing rampage. These events seem to get more and more curious.

The stabbing in Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania and the car plowing into an Olando, Florida Day Care Center, both happened Wednesday Morning.

According to the New's links, the sniper incidences in the Kansas City area have been going on for about four weeks. Why has it taken so long to reach the public media if the "authorities" have found similarities in at least some of the 13 recent shootings? Plus, it's a high traffic area with a Tri-Interstate system, which as a rule, are all outfitted with camera's in the overhead green signs on the Interstate and at exit and entry points? Something sounds really - off?

I just came across a report of another horrendous accident involving Students on a chartered bus with a FedEx truck verring off the Highway, which crossed a grassy freeway median and slammed into the bus. This accident occured Thursday night in Orland, California. A day earlier. a car slammed into a Day Care in Orlando, Florida. The quirk being Orland, California verse Orlando, Florida.

ORLAND, Calif. (AP) — The long bus ride north from Los Angeles for a group of high school students who planned to visit Humboldt State University had been fun: The hours whizzed by as they watched movies, chatted up new friends, and jammed to hip-hop on the radio.

A FedEx tractor-trailer had crossed a grassy freeway median and slammed into the bus. Ten people were killed in the fiery crash, including both drivers, authorities said.

Many of the more than 40 students on board escaped through a window that someone had kicked open, Clavijo said, running for their lives to the other side of Interstate 5 before hearing an explosion and seeing the bus burst into flame.

Two more explosions soon followed, he said, and he and other survivors looked on knowing others were still trapped in an inferno.

Massive flames could be seen devouring both vehicles just after the crash, and clouds of smoke billowed into the sky until firefighters doused the fire, leaving behind scorched black hulks of metal. Bodies were draped in blankets inside the burned-out bus.

In addition to the drivers, three adult chaperones and five teenage students were killed in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. Their identities were not immediately released. The bus carried between 44 and 48 students, four chaperones and the driver, the patrol said.

The crash happened a little after 5:30 p.m. on the interstate near Orland, a small city about 100 miles north of Sacramento.

The bus was one of two that the admissions office at Humboldt State University had chartered to bring prospective students from Southern California to tour the Arcata campus, Humboldt's Vice President of Administrative Affairs Joyce Lopes said.

The bus was owned by Silverado Stages, a tour bus company based in San Luis Obisbo. The company said in a statement on its website Thursday night that it was assisting authorities in gathering information.

The students came from a number of Southern California high schools and Humboldt spokesman Simon Chabel said the college was working to confirm where in Southern California all the were from.

A first responder who helped set up a triage at the scene said 36 or 37 people received injuries ranging from minor to severe burns, broken legs and noses, and head lacerations.

"The victims were teenage kids. A lot of them were freaked out. They were shocked. They still couldn't grasp what happened," said Jason Wyman of the Orland Volunteer Fire Department.

Eleven people were taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, hospital officials said. Two of those patients were listed in critical condition Friday morning.

Five people were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding in fair condition. One patient was admitted to the burn unit of University of California, Davis, Medical Center in critical condition.

Update on the stabbing at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania: The suspect is described as having a "blank expression" while stabbing victims.

_http://news.yahoo.com/teen-stabs-22-pittsburgh-area-high-school-224004422.html

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Flailing away with two kitchen knives, a 16-year-old boy with a "blank expression" stabbed and slashed 21 students and a security guard in the crowded halls of his suburban Pittsburgh high school Wednesday before an assistant principal tackled him.

At least five students were critically wounded, including a boy whose liver was pierced by a knife thrust that narrowly missed his heart and aorta, doctors said. Others also suffered deep abdominal puncture wounds.

Police shed little light on the motive.

The suspect, Alex Hribal, was taken into custody and treated for a minor hand wound, then was brought into court in shackles and a hospital gown and charged with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault. He was jailed without bail, and authorities said he would be prosecuted as an adult.

At the brief hearing, District Attorney John Peck said that after he was seized, Hribal made comments suggesting he wanted to die.

Police: Pa. Student Flashed 2 Knives, Injured 20 Play Video Defense attorney Patrick Thomassey described him as a good student who got along with others, and asked for a psychiatric examination.

The boy had a "blank look," she said. "He was just kind of looking like he always does, not smiling, not scowling or frowning."

Meixner and Moore called the attacker a shy boy who largely kept to himself, but they said he was not an outcast and they had no reason to think he might be violent.

The adrenal response for an untrained individual would cause them to tense up and burn out VERY quickly. Long before they were able to attack 10 people, much less 20. OSIT, based on my experience in Kali. But even with prior knife combat training, it would be incredibly stressful and require MASSIVE amounts of energy to do this alone.

Either he felt no fear, had prior combat training, had help, or some combination there of.

Maybe he was in a trance-like state going about his gruesome actions. If the conscious mind is shut down, then fear may be absent. Adrenal stress response is known to be diminished/suppressed in hypnotic states - so who knows ....

Why did he do it? That's something I just don't get.

[quote author=Pittsburgh Post-Gazette]
Interviews with nearly two dozen students Wednesday evening at various vigils organized by churches yielded precious little background about Alex, who was arraigned on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapon possession. Four of his alleged victims remained in critical condition Wednesday night.

Many students said they did not know Alex. Others, like sophomore Anissa Park, who knew Alex from elementary school but hadn't talked with him for some time, invariably used the words "shy" and "quiet" to describe him. Some said he was involved in athletics, including dek hockey, track and tennis, though the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette could not confirm those details Wednesday night.

Another student who knew Alex, though he spoke on condition of anonymity, said he was stunned by the attack.

"I know him pretty well," the boy said, adding that Alex's interests swung toward the usual for a teenage boy, including hockey and video games. "I've never seen any anger from him, ever. ... He never seemed like someone who would do anything violent. He never seems very upset or any of that."

His parents could not be reached Wednesday, but Alex's lawyer, Patrick Thomassey, said he had spoken to them about an hour before his arraignment.

"They did not foresee this coming. They expressed absolute horror," Mr. Thomassey said, adding that the family's thoughts were with the victims. Mr. Thomassey said the teenager was not a loner nor was he aware of any instances of bullying that would have provoked the attack. "He's scared," Mr. Thomassey said. "He's a young kid. He's 16, looking like he's 12. This is all still new to him."

Mr. Thomassey said Alex is a B-plus student from a stable home, describing his family as "like Ozzie and Harriet." "They have dinner together every night," the attorney said. He would not provide details of his discussions with his client. "I'm not sure he knows what he did, quite frankly," Mr. Thomassey said. "Something happened here. There's an issue that maybe nobody knew about."{umm, Greenbaumed, maybe?}

And as Jim Clemente mentions in the Jodi Arias video, it takes a lot of energy to stab someone, let alone stabbing multiple people multiple times. And he doesn't exactly strike a buff figure like Stallone, so where did he get that energy from?

Yeah, I'm not seeing a motive here either.

I've also not seen any reports of multiple individuals being involved, so maybe the best explanation for everything atm is something to the effect of Greenbaum programming. It would explain his blank expression and his ability to attack that many people without loosing the knife or his breathe. A normal person tenses up and holds their breathe in stressful situations, which would cause them to burn out rather quickly. But if their conscious mind was not involved, then they wouldn't tense up or hold their breathe so it would be physically possible to carry out the attack even if they weren't super buff or extremely fit. OSIT.

But who would have access to him to install the programming, what was their motive, what was the trigger, did it go off accidentally, is it something to the effect of..

The number of sniper shootings has increased to 20 now, with 1 person dead.

Keel writes in Disneyland of the Gods:

A variation of this is the ”phantom sniper.” Car windows are partially broken with
what looks like bullet holes. Except no bullets or projectiles of any kind are ever found inside the
vehicles.
The biggest wave of windshield smashing took place in the U.S. in 1952-54. But there was
a smaller wave in scattered communities across the country in the spring of 1975.

No bullets or holes were found, and police say it's unclear if the
shooting is related to at least 12 other random highway shootings that have been
linked to the same person or persons since early March.
