Okay I gotta be honest with you. 15:1 ratio? No way
I'm from Russia and therefore been following this conflict pretty much from the very beginning. Over the past years I've relied on many sources in regards to how this war in unfolding, some of them were strictly pro-RU, some leaning to pro-UA, over past time many sources proved to be unreliable or straightforward spreading misinformation. But some other proved to be sincere and as truthful as possible. Those include war coverage by people who fought on Donbass even back in 2014.
None of the sources ever claimed 15:1 ratio. The most honest estimation by reliable people is accounted for approx. 1:1

Some globalist-funded organizations such as Mediazona counted I think around 125k KIA Russians by 2025 confirmed by names, by that ratio that would be around 1800k KIA Ukrainians? I mean that is just crazy number, Ukrainian army would just collapse with that sort of casualties.

And I didn't even mentioned Shoigu clique corruption drama, which included massive military funding syphoning which resulted in poor preparations for the war. That and also money stolen in Kursk and Belgorod area, money that were dedicated for defense construction (governor shot himself recently).

The only way 15:1 would be possible if Ru army carpet bombed civilians like IDF in Gaza, which doesn't seems to be happening.
Please don't take it as personal attack or whatever, this is just my honest reaction

r maybe the Russian losses are lower than that, which would also mean that Ukrainian losses are lower, even at a 1:15 ratio of KIA.

Russia has only said that 6000 of its soldiers were killed by September 2022. If this number of KIA in half a year is multiplied by 7, you would get about 40,000 KIA for Russia until now. The actual number may be lower if the first six months were more deadly and less organized than the following years.

40,000 multiplied by 15 corresponds to about 600,000 Ukrainian KIA, or possibly less if the Russian KIA are less.

This seems to be close to what Russia said in December 2024 that Ukraine had about 1 million killed and wounded soldiers.

I tried to ask AI to give me some numbers about estimated KIA Russin soldiers since the start of the specialm military operation in Ukraine, and this is what the result is:

If situation was like that, Ukrainian lines would collapse a long time ago, without any need to fight for weeks and months over Donbass villages.

Also let me be clear: I'm not a supporter of UA army and state, they already shown their face a lot of times, especially in Kursk somewhat recently. Generally I do believe that territories that will end up under Russian rule will become a more wealthy, a more stable and maybe even a more free than before. It's a pity that war happened, but it is what it is.
With all that said, to neglect UA army capabilities with numbers like this is just straight up hubris if you ask me.

I don't know why you are so sure of your analysis, maybe you trust the Western or supposedly "independent" sources on this topic too much. You also haven't answered whom you consider to be credible sources, as if it is some kind of secret.

Ukraine has done a full mobilization while Russia is fighting with a much smaller force. And Ukraine is still running out of people to forcibly recruit. This does suggest huge losses.

With all that said, to neglect UA army capabilities with numbers like this is just straight up hubris if you ask me.

You think the C's show straight up hybris on this topic? They gave the 15:1 ratio.

Why do you feel so strongly about this topic to suggest something like that? Is it because you convinced yourself that it must be close to a 1:1 ratio and you may be completely off on that number? Even if you were wrong on that, what is the big deal?

@Amarock It does seem like the only argument you have against a ratio of 1:15 is simply that you don’t believe it.

I don’t know what sources you’ve been following, but the war has been going on for well over three years, and for a significant part of that time, based on the sources that I have been following, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to put daily Ukrainian KIAs at around 1000 per day. That works out at one million dead.

The Russian approach to fighting has been to minimise their own KIAs as much as possible, which is just one of the reasons why “Ukrainian forces haven’t collapsed yet”. I haven’t seen any figures anywhere that suggest that over one million Russians have been killed. Far from it.

In short, I can accept as a ballpark figure, that for every 1 Russian soldier who has died, 15 Ukrainian soldiers have. I also think that their KIA rate has probably risen exponentially over the time of the SMO, since so many Ukrainian forces who are now sent to the front lines were forcibly conscripted, middle-aged and older, and given basically no training.

It's a huge number indeed, but sadly I'm not surprised. I've seen our cemeteries in various towns across Russia: it's always a very sad picture to witness, but we don't have such vast fields of military graves here as they have in Ukraine. When I see footage from Ukraine, it usually looks quite chilling: those endless fields of Ukrainian flags. I thought the ratio might be 1 to 10, but I'm not surprised about 1 to 15 either.

Regarding mushrooms for immunity, and also for some types of cancers (when I find source/article in Eng I'll post it):

the most easy to find (no need to buy it!!!) is Turkey's Tail - easy to spot, grows on dead wood most of the year, but usually when weather is wet & somehow cold there is a wealth of them around;

it is very easy to recognize and to prepare a tincture - one just pick them up, check if bottom is nice and white - it means they are fresh,
Just clean them, pack into the jar, pour some alcohol on them, hide in a closet /cabinet and give some time to process;
One can add some honey, gives nice taste to it!

After couple of months just strain it out and voila, immunity boosting tincture is ready.
I usually drink around 15ml + 1mg of vit. c/some lemon juice and some hot water as a shot, when I feel about to get sick. Or from time to time during Autumn/winter as a prevention from colds etc.

I hope it helps, Turkey's Tail's are very common, free to pick and easy to prepare a powerful remedy/prevention/immunity booster.

What you've already been told more or less, the truth is that no source, both from the Russian government and others, has revealed the real number of casualties, and the circulating estimates are not based on real hard data and are therefore insufficient (or incomplete). So, despite the lack of a marked interest in accommodating the information in several sources, they should be taken with caution.

At least the 1 to 10 ratio was more or less expected and shouldn't be surprising, since that is partly the proportion in terms of superiority in the number of attacks carried out by the Russians, both with artillery and drones, which should contribute the greatest number of casualties. Add to that the less aggressive Russian offensives and the particularities of this war, and the result is that the 1:3 ratio in favor of the defender, which many fantasize about, is not applicable.

Not true. Legitimate estimates in the first couple of years was 7-8:1. It's reasonable to assume that as the war progressed and Ukrainians came under increasing pressure, that that ratio would have increased. So 15-1 is not unreasonable IMO. Also, the recent "hacked" documents show 1.7 million Ukrainian dead or missing. Divided by 15 this gives a Russian dead count of approx 115k, also not unreasonable.

Why do you think the Ukrainians have long since resorted to abducting people of the streets? Also, as others have said, even Ukrainians have reported that Russians have a 10:1 superiority in artillery shells fired. You think this wouldn't manifest in much larger Ukrainian death toll?
