Sunday, April 21st, 2013: Baghdad to Boston - Terrorism Strikes the American Homeland
Although the gruesome sight of mangled body parts is an everyday reality in countries occupied or bombed by the U.S. military, last Monday's 'double-tap' bombing in downtown Boston was the first terror attack on U.S. soil in 12 years.
To date no arrests have been made in connection with the bombing, no group has claimed responsibility and no motive has been offered by the authorities. While facts remain thin on the ground, a number of clues suggest that 'homegrown' terrorists are being lined up to take the fall...
So on this week's show we're going to take a look at what happened at the Boston Marathon finish line and try to make sense of an apparently senseless act. We'll also be discussing events peripheral to the bombing and looking back at the Oklahoma City bombing, which took place almost 18 years ago to the day.
If you're in the Boston area, we want to hear from you about your experiences this week. Downtown obviously went into lockdown after the bombings, but did you notice anything unusual in the run-up to the attacks? And have you noticed the not-so-subtle propaganda insinuating that 'patriots' and 'gun owners' were somehow responsible for what was clearly a professional operation!
Everyone is asking 'Whodunnit?' While we can't tell you who exactly, we can offer a well-informed opinion or two... Join us as we connect the dots from 2-4pm EDT (8-10pm CET)...
