Sunday 15th September: Web of Debt: How the banking system controls the world

This week we'll be interviewing Ellen Brown. Ellen is the author of a dozen books on finances and health and developed her research skills as an attorney practicing civil litigation in Los Angeles. In her most recent book, "Web of Debt", Ellen turns her investigative skills to an analysis of the Federal Reserve and "the money trust." She shows how this private cartel has usurped the power to create money from the people themselves, and explains how we the people can get it back. If you've ever wondered how the banking system controls most of the people most of the time, this is one show you won't want to miss.

Join us from 2-4pm (EST) this Sunday 15th September as we examine the dark underbelly of the second oldest profession, which, in essence, appears to be not very different from the oldest.

Somehow the second oldest profession forced us to embrace the oldest one. We've been enslaved, we sell our body, sweat, pain, time and blood for miserable wages based on debt-money created out of thin air.

Debts been an issue for me ever since I got my first credit card that I've been trying to get out of ever since. I have taken my money out of the major bank I was with and put it into a local credit union out of principle. But yeah, I'm sure there's more to it than working two or three jobs to escape the revolving credit door so look forward to hearing about it.

Have always been weary of credit & debt. Definitely looking forward to this show!

I've followed Ellen Brown for a while, great to hear she'll be on! I hope there's time to talk about publicly owned banks too, whether this is still a realistic alternative to the current system. Or what are our options for banking with existing ones, is Bank of North Dakota still the only one in the US? What about credit unions?

Just as a note, the sound is perfect today.

I would even say that it is the first time that the sound is crystal clear.

It is live now. You can call in, or ask your questions directly to Ellen on the chat room! :)

Great show SoTT Talk - nice guest, Ellen Brown, who has an easy way of providing information (simple truths) of the present system at play.

I had never even contemplated the fact that banks lending money to the People is a service and should be free. Thanks for that idea! Isn't that what muslim banks do, they do not charge any interest? Or is that also a scam?

Also, what you said about the difference between public and private banks was very interesting, OSIT.

Thanks! :flowers:

Imo, best interview yet guys. Ellen Brown has really presented her case well.
I can't stress enough that EVERYONE should read her book "Web of Debt."

Haven't listened to the show yet (will soon). But as far as I know, the Islamic rules for banking is that they can't charge interest, they just charge administrative fees to cover the costs of the service. I think the point is not to be in it for the profit (they consider all interest charges as usury, which is forbidden). But I don't know how much corruption/scams is/are present in Islamic banks. FWIW.
