Silver goes ballistic and shakes the financial system

TD bank is a legal/official Canadian bank, thus the bullion sold by them must be 100% authentic, and it's possible to buy online-shipped at home. I don't know enough yet to be able to tell if a bullion is authentic or not, so going pawn shop shopping is not the best idea for me at the moment.
Perhaps you could do some research first? Here is Tucker Carlson. His guest who is in the gold business explains how you find out which companies are reputable or not. There are people out there who lost their whole pension because they were scammed by unscrupulous gold dealers. Tucker has set up a company with this man for all those people who wish to invest in precious metals without having to worry about being fleeced.

FWIW, a speculative article talking about the silver and Venezuela's oil reserves!

I'm not saying this is definitely what happened. I'm saying it's one hell of a coincidence that deserves scrutiny. China refuses to ship desperately-needed silver to COMEX. Chinese envoy meets with Maduro. US bombs Venezuela hours later. All of this happening within a 72-hour window right as China's export restrictions go live.

The recent sale of weapons to Taiwan, a real poke at China, by the USA is also speculated to be a reason China pulled the silver flow. All is connected I presume. Moves and counter moves.

12/18/25
The United States on Wednesday announced an arms sales package worth $11.1 billion (€9.45 billion) for Taiwan, making it the largest ever US weapons package for the island.

The State Department announced the arms sales package as US President Donald Trump made a televised address.

The move is likely to irk China which claims sovereignty over Taiwan.

The arms deal comes after Taiwan's Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung made a low-profile trip to the Washington-area last week, which was reported by Taiwanese and Asian media.

The US State Department said the sales serve "US national, economic, and security interests by supporting the recipient's continuing efforts to modernize its armed forces and to maintain a credible defensive capability.

I think that Chinese control of the silver could be some useful leverage. Signing a lot of agreements with Venezuela just hours before theth coup could play into the Chinese move for leverage. If the US says it will not honor Chinese investments in Venezuela, then China could use silver as a powerful leverage for the US to change its mind about that.
Monday is likely to see volatile trading in precious metals. The Shanghai metals exchange which is the largest physical silver exchange in Asia (and perhaps the world) will open for the first time in the new year on Monday.

Take it with a grain of salt, but "Asian Guy" says Russia and China have been buying Venezuelan silver at a premium since 2019 and on December 23 spirited all the Venezuelan reserves, 847 tons, out of the country by air. Hard to believe the US would sit by and let that happen under its military cordon sanitaire. That would require a lot of flights.

By the way, when President Trump and Melania, in her silver dress, made their entrance to the NYE party the music playing was the theme from "The Lone Ranger" an old radio and TV program featuring a masked crime fighter who rides a white horse named Silver.

So while the BS flies there could be some truthful underlying connections in these events. Silver not so much as narcotics?

I just started watching Redacted's latest on Venezuela and they confirm the above. Russia and China transferred nearly 2 billion dollars of silver out of Venezuela (first minute).

China restricting rare earth mineral export first and adding silver since January first may have pushed the US intervention forward. China being the top buyer of Venezuelans oil will suffer, evidently, and the US can now control shipment and use it as a bargaining chip again China is hold on the said mineral.
Here is Sean Foo is take. Been following him for some time for is advice on precious metal first but realized that he as a very good grasp on geopolitics and it connection to the economic world.

Yes, I've heard this also about the silver. Awesome about the lone ranger song. It seems like cooperation is happening between these 3 countries so, maybe an agreement was made for the removal of the silver.

It sounds like the USA will allow continued oil sales to China and other countries so any leverage with silver may not be an issue.

Trump says Venezuelan oil supplies to China will continue

Trump noted that after conducting an operation against Venezuela, the United States cannot risk that someone else will establish control in the country

NEW YORK, January 3. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has said that he does not expect any problems in relations between the United States and China after Washington's operation against Caracas as oil supplies to China from the Bolivarian Republic will continue.

Asked about possible difficulties between Washington and Beijing on Fox News, Trump said: "I know nothing about that, but I have a very good relationship with [Chinese] President Xi [Jinping], and there's not going to be a problem, and they're going to get oil." "We're going to allow people to have oil," he said when speaking about oil deliveries from Venezuela to other countries.

Trump noted that after conducting an operation against Venezuela, the United States cannot risk that someone else will establish control in the country.

On January 3, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto announced that the United States had attacked civilian and military targets in Caracas. He called Washington's actions military aggression. A state of emergency was declared in Venezuela. Trump confirmed that the United States had launched major airstrikes against Venezuela, adding that Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of the country.

Trump Suggests Venezuela Oil Exports to China Will Grow

By

James T. Areddy
President Trump offered an incentive to Beijing to support the U.S. operation to remove Venezuela’s leader, suggesting the Latin American country will supply even more oil to China.
Asked at his Saturday press conference about U.S. relations with China, Russia and Iran after the U.S. military action in Venezuela, where all three countries have interests, Trump appeared to primarily address Beijing. “In terms of other countries that want oil, we’re in the oil business. We’re going to sell it to them,” Trump said.

Added thought.
It sounds like the USA will allow continued oil sales to China and other countries so any leverage with silver may not be an issue. It also sounds like the Trump admin wants the people of Venezuela to be running their own country which fits with the new US National Security Plan which respects the sovereignty of countries.

The only thing is that it is only what Trump is saying today. Trump also thought there would be no problem settling the conflict in Ukraine. So let us see what reality shows and what Trump will say tomorrow and the day after. China was a big client of Venezuela, but not the other way round. Venezuela only provides less than 3% of China's needs and there is a global oil glut as demand is slow. That means that it would not be too hard for China to source oil elsewhere if need be and if Trump decides to play hard ball.

Thank you for that. It made me laugh.
Of course it's not the general take on things here as Trump is seen as more of the same old crap but if you listened to his presser after the strike this is what he said and implied. Returning countries to their own sovereignty would be a very difficult and messy business if it can actually be accomplished with the One World Order so completely in charge. We're trying in the US. But who knows how things will go, no one does. I'm glad the US isn't going to make a issue with China buying oil. It doesn't matter if its not a big deal to China, cooperation is important. It also looks like they've invested a lot in Venezuela so not as small as you may think.
