The FBI announced the arrest of an 18-year-old Mint Hill man for plotting an ISIS-inspired attack at a local grocery store on New Year's Eve.

The first was the day ater Christmas at the competitor grocery store across the street from the grocery store I work at where a custody exchange was to take place. 2 officers were shot and the suspect was killed and many believe it was sucide by cop. The 2 officers were frequently in our store at the Starbucks for coffee.

The 2nd event was scheduled for New Years day per the article and was either going to be the same competitor grocery store or the one I work at. Details are sketchy.

Thank DCM that he was arrested. More proof that we have to always be vigilant, although I sometimes have my doubts about articles such as the second one. It sounds as if the PTB want us to be afraid of our own shadow, even when we are going to get some groceries, but hey the government will keep us safe. Knowing that the FBI grooms some of these young men for their own ends makes me suspicious, but then I could be wrong. Stay safe, KristinLynne!

I was thinking the same thing Gwenllian along with the 18 year old sounded like he was mentally unstable for a while.
