Why you shouldn't invest in big synthetic carpet?
Synthetic carpets are cheaper than natural fiber carpets, but have many disadvantages. Instead buying one big carpet, buy two or three small carpets, that can be roll out easily and cleaned outside your home. You can put them on the sun to disinfect them with UV light or high temperature from the sun.
Synthetic carpets may emits chemical substances many years after you bought it. You can try to buy mini cotton carpet for bathroom, instead big synthetic carpet. Cotton carpet will degrade faster (shorter lifespan), but you can easily wash it in washing machine or in your hands.
I learned from high school, that synthetic fibers attracts dust, because electrostatic capabilities. It also creates positive ions in your home which is not good. BTW. Most of commercial available air ioniser are very poor (low performance). To be honest, we should avoid synthetic fibers in our life, if we are not desperate. Synthetic fibers has many disadvantages. It can gain entry to your lungs.
