[Happy Poo]

Hi, just like to share a few old song lyrics that I've written over the years.

They sound a lot better and make more sense with the music, but it's nice just to be able to share anyway.

Started doing them around 94'

These after reading the C's from around ten years ago ish, last one more recent around 5 years, have changed a couple of words as they were too grim lol

This poems about how helpless I feel about what is going on and how many people are suffering and in desperate need, and how I'm trying to deal with it or find some kind of inner peace.

If I cannot help in real time

Then I try to give back in my mind

Like whenever sitting down to a meal

Or taking remedies that help me heal

I imagine thousands of eagles

Flying carrying food to all those who need

Through the winding dark roads of our cities and countries

To all those who may be deprived

Flying through the night to

The war zones where they struggle to survive

Helping all those who ask

Wherever they may be

Maybe it's shelter

It could be a new home

Or it could be comfort to those

Who feel so alone

And these ideas aren't mine they are just borrowed

It helps me to heal the pain and sorrow

Just feel like the concept of trying to share

When i receive something as it
Just seams fair

The eagles still flying

To I don't know where

They're carrying food like

Kind of a prayer

Or fuel for fire

Bricks wood and stone

For those who may need a new home

They reach their destination

No matter how long it takes

Been working on some demo's, bad recording but not sure how to get it out without converting to MP3 which looses loads of tones, any ideas would be much appreciated :)

This is just recorded on my tablet mic, I like the fact that the boat I live on acts like a speaker as it's made of oak and steel, would be nice to capture that in a better way somehow.

I always have dreams of being in a strange version of the London underground, and can never find my way home. This song also came to mind just after I read one of the transcripts which really inspired it, thank you.

Best listened on decent speakers if you can as it's already a bit of a pants recording and it's v much about the bass!!

Cool, Happy Poo! atmospheric. sounds like going on a long journey.. The recording from your boat sounds good to me, for a live recording! That room does have a really nice sound to it.

The only suggestions I have for getting higher quality recordings out of your keyboard involve buying gear - e.g. an audio interface for your computer or tablet, which would allow you to plug the keyboard directly into it, or alternatively to plug microphones into it. I think you can get things like this for tablets nowadays but I dunno anything about em. People say they're very good now though..

Anyway all that said, mp3 doesn't have to sound bad. If encoded at a high bitrate like 320kbps, it sounds basically as good as CD. Whether you can do that or not depends on the app you're using on your tablet.. Built-in mics in phones and tablets seem to vary greatly in quality. My old phone from a few years ago sounded fine but my current one, the mic sounds awful no matter what I do. I've not tried an external mic for the phone cos I don't like phones... (so I use a dedicated handheld recording device - Zoom H4N Pro is what I have, but there are lots of other similar things. less convenient than phone but nicer IMO).

Thanks for your reply Brandon, I had no idea you could change the bitrate for mp3, will give it a go one day. I do have a laptop (when it works) with a USB mic, a 'Yeti Blue' thing but it didn't sound too different. I need to get a better laptop in future and connect it to the keyboard - which does actually act as an audio interface with a good enough computer. Thanks again for the info and your feedback! :)
