Recently watched Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. It's basically set in the times when geocentrism was the prevailing cosmological model. The anime depicts the lengths to which people pursue truth and the worthy prices they pay for it in trying to get the heliocentric model out. The censorship was huge back then--with inquisitors rounding up those whose beliefs were deemed too dangerous for the public to know. It shows the beautiful and ugly sides of science and religion, while not outright denying either.
