Spot The Fake Smile

That was amusing :D and interesting.
17 for me. The eyes and ears are usually the giveaway IMO.
 
16 for me.

Looked at the eyes too, but in one case of Asian girl that I marked as fake she was genuinely smiling and there was no difference in the eyes. Guess she has default smiling eyes. :)
 
13 for me.

And my guess was to look into the eyes, or that's what I'm doing in real life. :P
 
Thanks, this was fun. I got 17. The ones I got wrong were genuines that I said were fake. I couldn't help but smile while looking at some of them, and some were clearly forced. I wrote that it was the eyes, because I scrolled down a little in the thread and saw eyes being mentioned.
 
I got 13 out of 20 - rated some genuine that were fake and some fake that were genuine... I looked at the overall expression, not only the eyes... Some of the test persons had this "are we done yet" look on their face :)
 
17 out of 20. I labeled one genuine smile fake (eleventh person - I remember I wasn't sure about this one). And I marked two fakes smiles as genuine. I wasn't sure about them either, but in their case I was actually trying to be considerate. Maybe those are shy smiles, I thought. Lol :D

I guess I've got pretty good results. I look for the eyes and for overall feeling. If smile is genuine, it makes me smile back.

Looked mostly at the eyes.
4 out of 5 wrongs were genuine that I labeled as fake. A little bit too suspicious it seems... :rolleyes:
