Chelsea Handler canceled two comedy shows in Oregon at the last minute this weekend due to a “scare at the hospital” involving an unnamed health issue.
Handler's team first announced the news on Friday. According to a statement posted to the comedian's Instagram,
“unforeseen circumstances" caused her to pull out of the February 4 and 5 dates of her Vaccinated and Horny stand-up tour. The caption of the post read,
“Chelsea is deeply saddened to have to cancel tonight's and tomorrow's Portland and Eugene shows and looks forward to giving you a spectacular show in the near future."
Handler, 46, hasn't shared any details about what kind of
health scare she is dealing with. But the comedian did eliminate a couple of possibilities in an Instagram story she filmed from her hospital bed on Friday. "I am so sorry I had to cancel my shows tonight in Portland and my show in Eugene," Handler said, as
People reports. “I had a scare at the hospital, and I don't have COVID, and I'm OK, but I had to reschedule my shows,” Handler explained. "So, I just wanted to say that, and I will see you all when I see you, and I'm sorry that I had to cancel," she continued. “But I'm all OK. And I'm not pregnant,” she added.
