Suddenly there was an explosion of sorts in front of us and 'shrapnel' blasted in through the windscreen, shattering his face, only cutting up mine.
With said friend unconscious, the car went out of control, spinning around and eventually plowing into a ditch. At this point I seemed to go on 'survival autopilot', trying to revive the driver and keep the blood-flow to a minimum. Eventually other cars came to help, then an ambulance.
What a terrible thing, I`m so glad your both ok.
That had to have been an incredibly traumatic experience and it makes me wonder if it is actually your friend who has the most to learn from this incident.
Maybe you were just along for the ride or to act as his guard, "his support" while he was unconscious and bleeding.
Louise Hay says that the face is what we show the world, and in this case the old was "shattered" and he`ll get a whole new face to show the world.
Could be that your friend will be a much different person then he was before the accident if this is true. It would be interesting if you notice any "difference" in him later.
Most likely no will ever know what caused the horse to spook at that precise time, culminating in three lives intersecting in that single moment, but what if the people in one of those cars that came along and stopped to help, had been watching the moon and not paying attention to the road and a few miles more there could have been a head on crash that might have been much worst for everyone?
Could be that you were stopped by a horse before you got to that point on the highway.
Could be that it was just an accident.
My feeling though, is that there is always more to these things then we think there is.
Either way, I`m sure your friend is very grateful that you were there for him and again I`m glad that this wasn`t much worst then it was for you personally.
