Strange changes of the Forum pages...

Since I am on a Fedora-11 system, I am not sure what "refresh" is.
Perhaps you mean on a windoes box, it is F5, but I don't think that
works for Fedora.

For the clarification, what I meant is 'refresh' button on the browser not on the keyboard (while 'shift' is on the keyboard).

In any case, I can live with it so as long as I can
read the pages - not a real hassle. Sometimes a "burr"
can be tolerated, so I'll live :)

Ok, I understand now. I shift&"refresh" and it does work in this way.

What I find is that the first page [1] 2 3 ... 6 of the forum seems
ok. The mess-up occurs after the first page and on 1 [2] ... 6,
consistently. It appears there is a problem only after the first page.

Hi Dant,

That is a pretty strange problem you are having. Posting your picture kinda helped me get an idea of whats happening. Normally in a situation like this I would reset the video card just to make sure it didn't pull loose and have you checked for the latest driver as well? I understand what your saying about how it only happens after the first few pages or so but just thought I'd throw some more suggestions your way.

Simply said, the Intel video CHIP is not resetable nor replaceable :P

In all honestly, it simply could be by OS itself, i.e. Fedora-11 and
possibly due to Firefox v3.5.2 as I have heard others having all
sorts of problems with it, depending on the Os & the hardware
involved.

Did you ever tried using FF v3.5.2 say on Win2K? You'd be
surprised to learn that FF has become much "fatter", requires
more resources (CPU speed, RAM, etc.), and it moves slower
than molasses. Ah, how fast progress moves, and so does
everything else, and all that is required to follow it. :)

Like I said, I am contented for what it is, and hope that
later OS releases fixes these problems. I am glad that
most forum members are doing just fine.

I've never even USED a computer with win2k on it! Your probably right about the OS. With all the new things they constantly do to the internet, its gotta make it harder for older systems to operate properly. Good Luck with it Dant. ;)
