Strange coincidence.

The Force is Strong With This One
Hello, I've recently had a strange coincidence that I would like some feedback on.

The first part happened when my dad was driving me home. I was reading Soul Hackers and was on the part where they were talking about "Lilly". I finished reading the sentence, that I'll paraphrase where Laura was in a session with the C's and they remarked that "... she is perilously close to being destroyed as part of the grand plan." When suddenly not only does my dads Bluetooth hands-free speaker lose connection, so too does his phone lose carrier signal! struck me as a rather strange coincidence but didn't think much of it. After reading a bit into the beginning of Stripped to the Bone earlier today I am reminded of a paragraph in another session with the C's: "... Remember, disinformation is very effective when delivered by highly trained sources because hypnotic and transdimensional techniques are used thereby causing electronic anomalies to follow suggestion causing perceived confirmation to occur."

Then later today at work while I was cleaning tables, someone left a roll of paper. I initially thought that it was religion related because that rarely happens. When I examined closer I noticed that the roll of paper was held closed by a black sticker with the word "classified" and at the bottom was a sticker holding one end closed that looked like a power button. The outside of the paper was white but upon opening it up it revealed a green color and a pencil drawing of a bomb with a smiley face. It actually took me a while to realize that it kinda represents "green bomb" or "Greenbaum" which considering that part I was reading the days prior was recently touched upon.

sooo... That's random....

(P.S. To preempt the question of if I came to some sort of conclusion at the time, I didn't. After it happened I was mostly "huh, that's strange." and thought a little on what I just read might mean and moved on. Of course when I read that part later it really had me wondering what it was if anything was supposed to have been suggested if indeed that was something of the nature.)

Hi Canard, welcome to the forum. :welcome:

When you get a minute, it would be good if you could post an intro in the newbies section, maybe share a little about yourself and how you found your way here.

Welcome aboard the Forum, Canard. It's good to have you here. :)

If you are starting out and currently reading through the Wave, I would think experiencing strange coincidences and/or synchronicity may bound to happen. It could be an inner conflict from the world that you're used to living and the reality that your eyes being opened to as a result of reading The Wave.

It could also be a phenomenon called "apophenia," where one experience seeing meaningful patterns or connections in random data, and of which results from confirmation bias based on your current readings.

At any rate, I would record these observations (either mentally or journaling) and not having yourself putting too much stock (emotionally-charged) in the "uniqueness" of it all. By that, I don't mean that we don't get a true awareness of what we observed from our surroundings, but we can learn about how our minds work and how we can separate what may be an increased awareness from what could be perceived as just "meaningful patterns" in randomness of things. If anything could have been "suggested" to you hypnotically, it could be your "perceptions" of things that can be altered against you, so to speak. This is why it's so important to understand how our minds work.

When you get a chance, reading through the Psychology & Cognitive Science board here on the forum (and the books recommended) can be useful to achieve a rapt understanding of how our minds work and how we process incoming information.

For what it's worth.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Nothing terribly eventful happened yet so I guess I really shouldn't think so much into it. Though, I thought it would be more funny than anything else, aside from the Greenbaum implications and all.
