Strange sensation

The Living Force
It must have been January or February when I first felt like a rollercoaster dive movement but sideway, which must have lasted a second or two. It was in the evening, while watching Gray's. I was sitting comfortably on the sofa. The second time, I was waling in the parking at noon. The third time, the other day, I was sitting at the table showing my husband some work i have done on my laptop.

It is not nausea or vertigo. It could be a circulatory obstruction due to very tight neck muscles, but it is too random and it is not associated with any pain or discomfort whatsoever (according to my tolerance levels to both pain and discomfort of course). Perhaps I should visit a chiropractor. Notwithstanding, I would like to ask the forum, if anyone had experienced this kind of short and very fast perception of lateral displacement while not moving, not associated with physical causes.
I'll update with the doctor's opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Ina

I have never felt it laterally, only something similar vertically. In my case, associated with emotion and unlike vertigo. Please let us know what you learn about it.

Indeed I will update. The very first time I felt it, it was pretty scary and the very first thing that came to my mind was here's the proof for inertia if you needed one, and I remember next thinking about the theory of the inertial systems. The third time being used already, I was just waiting for it to finish. Next time it happens i'll try to time it.

Hi, Ina. Could you give more details of how you felt during these episodes? I mean, did it feel like you were physically "falling" or being "pushed" laterally, or was it more like an out of body experience?

Hi Aragorn,

Thank you for asking for the clarification, as I haven't thought about the aspects you mention. so to detail, the feeling, it was not falling, as I am familiar with slight falling sensation which I experience when I am consciously falling asleep (mainly during daylight time) and with just dropping from height which I used to experience during dreaming.

I am not pushed either as I haven't had any laterally focused coupled sensation.

Wrt the out of body experience, I cannot be sure as I only had once a spontaneous OBE (which as well might have been a lucid dream).

To explain further bringing my understanding: All of a sudden, my center of awareness starts to move very fast laterally, perceiving a fast spatial displacement in contradiction with the simultaneous sensory perception that records no movement.

There is a common denominator between the occurrences, which is the focus on problem solving. I'd hate to believe that what I feel is caused by aneurysms due to dysfunctional blood circulation.

Is the direction always the same? Maybe the message from your vessel is to step aside or go 'that' way to solve the issue on your mind. Just a thought.

Same direction, to my right, which coincidentally for all three encounters was northwards.

Well, then! I'd pay attention to that. What is North of you that might be a part of solving the problem you were thinking about?

HI Ina,

I think you diagnosed yourself very well. I already experimented such kind of sensation. That was cervix / muscles contracture in the neck or in the upper back.

Hi Ellipse,

Then, a visit to the doctor should fit into my near future activity. :) The cause of neck tension however, calls for serious work to remove my 'mental burdens', inter alia, btw.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious.

Hi - was it anything like dizziness - or extremely distorted gyroscopic equilibrium sort of like the room spinning when you are really hung over from way too much alcohol? Like your eyes crossing and staying stuck that way for a few seconds? staggering being pushed feeling?

I have experienced this a number of times - usually just random with no explanation

I usually 'write it off' to energy surges in local time space...kind of a disturbance in the force type of deal.

If it is your neck perhaps it pertains to the pituitary and hence psychic realm?

random speculation on my part, but, yeah I have passed through some weird states of being the past few years with increasing regularity - whether it is what you describe, hard to say
