Also I have heard of some random venting and/or plums arising from the bootheel of Missouri as of today. If anyone has heard anything more about this please let me know. As I am living in this area :)

In tandem with the PR for the upcoming first nationwide test of the new U.S. Emergency Alert System on 11/9, this sunspot reality check just changed my outlook for the next 5 days.

I do not live in this area & have not heard/seen a thing providing more information.

I would suggest , if you plan on remaining where you are : Water storage/food storage & contacting your nearest family & let them know you are OK( if you are) & so they know you are OK, thus some stress relief for all.
This also provides for them to, if it is needed, to rally to your support/assistance.

If you are not prepared for this type of situation, I suggest that you make preparation to move to an area that you are more comfortable in existing & then re -assess your situation & act on that.

Without more Info, I , or anyone else, unless they are close to you, cannot do much more.
I hope you are well & if all is good , then prepare for the worst for the next time.

Pardon me for bothering this thread with loosely correlated observations to the Missouri concerns, but the Rainier venting rumor got me thinking, and adding to the mix and maybe better qualifying my half-related perplexity, if I understand McCanney correctly, doesn't the following asteroid event pose a potential for exciting electromagnetic events?

Here's an article correlating asteroid YU55 fly-by with the upcoming Nationwide Emergency Alert Test also calling out "Exercise Pacific Wave 11" or "A Pacific-wide Tsunami Warning and Communication Exercise 9-10 November 2011" according to the associated UNESCO *.pdf. (Hopefully this is all just good drill).
