A pod of 1,500 individuals is mentioned, but if the report on the bbc this morning of it being a mile long has any credence, the numbers mentioned might be an underestimate.

There was a report 3 or 4 years of a similar gathering in roughly the same waters. I've searched this site and sott for the report but with no luck - for some reason I can't proceed beyond the first page of sott search results page.
