Surgery

That's great that you got the FIR blanket, Angela, thanks to the generosity of Laura et al. Enjoy using it, I think you'll love it.

I second that -- I think you're going to find it really relaxing as you recover, and I'm glad things worked out this way :)

So for the last 3 days I have been using the sauna blanket and while I am in it I listen to POTS. I absolutely love it! I can stay in about a half an hour so far. It is so soothing and warm. It is definately my new favorite thing!!

It has even intrigued my 19 year old son and he used it last night as well. He wants to do it again tonite after work and listen to the POTS.

I just wanted to let everyone know how it was going and to say thanks one more time.

Sincerely,

Angela

I do believe it is helping my recovery. I am totally of the pain pills now and every day I am feeling so much better with very little discomfort.

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself and that your son wants to detoxify as well :flowers:

Just remember that lower temps work as well for healing and pain relief. You don't have to boil yourself.

I'm so glad that your surgery was a success and you are getting well, Angela! Your courage and positive attitude really moved me.

Hello everyone-
Thought I would post and share some news. I had a CT scan, my first one since my bladder was removed because of cancer, and it came back with a great result. No cancer has come back. Woo hoo!! I believe that eating a clean diet, and cutting out gluten, dairy, and sugar has contributed to my health exponentially! Thanks to this forum and everything I have learned here I am truly grateful.
I did find out yesterday that I will need to have surgery again in the next couple of weeks. You see, after they removed my bladder, they built me a pouch out of my large intestine. They used some of my small intestine to connect the pouch to the skin next to my belly button where I feed a catheter down into it 5 times a day to empty it. It is called an Indiana reservoir. I need to have surgery on the opening in my skin, because the scar tissue is trying to cover up the opening(stoma). I am not really looking forward to surgery, but it is just a day thing. He said I probably won't have to spend the nite. That I am glad for! I believe I healed so well because of my FIR sauna blanket. It sure seemed like the minute I got that, it really sped up the healing of my incision.

Angela

Happy to hear that, Angela! Thanks for sharing, and good luck with the surgery.
