The Living Force
Seems the abilities this guy has developed through meditation and breathing exercises might be very useful during the looming pandemics and ice-age:
Wim Hof has broken many records for enduring burial in ice, an ability he attributes to learning to control his "uncontrollable" (so we're taught) autonomic nervous system via meditation/breathing exercises. On his website, he says his method is designed to help people "take back the power of the mind and body."
He explains (3rd video) "we are able to go deeply into the autonomic nervous system, related to the immune system which could be a way to prevent disease by your will alone (by going) much deeper than thought possible, even scientifically". In one hospital-based demonstration (2nd video), he exhibits no symptoms after being injected with a virus.
He explains (2nd video) that he's able to close off peripheral blood flow to keep his blood warm while buried in ice. Baffled, the attending doctor comments "it's crazy...it can't be done"
Regarding the credibility of Hof's claims, Wikipedia reports:
On 19 April, 2012, an episode of the US television program Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, featuring Hof, was broadcast. Hof was tested against a member of the team named Austin, both sitting in a tank full of ice. Austin sat in the tank for about 20 minutes, with his surface body temperature falling to eight degrees above freezing. When he got out of the water, the other two team members used a heat camera to reveal that his body was at about forty degrees. Wim's core body temperature stayed the same for the entire twenty minutes, as did his heart rate.
Wim Hof featured on the "Freaks of Nature" series:

Edit: Before posting this, I searched the Forum for "cryotherapy" and "win hof" (mispelled) and found nothing. I now see this has already been discussed here http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,27112.msg337352.html#msg337352
