“Only the dead have seen the end of war.”
Plato
"War is sweet to those that have no experience of it"
Pindar
Bella! Horrida bella! - War! Horrid War! (Virgil - Virgil - Aeneid, VI, 86)
I am reminded of the WWI and how they held parades before wars soldiers smiling thinking it will be over for a few days. Many of those are not even conscious of what are they letting themselves in and learn too late, but still I can not be conscious emotionally because I did not live through it, but when you hear people glorifying it and seeing it only through movies and describing it with empty words you come to realize how most people are detached from reality not only with their minds but on emotional level also, how many people are dead out there while the whole world comes to ruins and they being concerned with trivial things and panicking about them.

In a way I understand when Cs said that it will be a lesson for most because without some big disturbing shocks there is no awakening and questioning of oneself and the world. It is a really jungle out there with bloodthirsty animals in charge that are only concerned for their next meal while the reality is becoming more alien by the day(not that it was not before) and people incomprehensible. Was it all knowledge spreading worth it I wonder because most do not want it and can not have it so just spreading it looks paradoxical if there are not instruments to cope it and most people lack them. It was in the end only for the minority as a remnant of what it means to be human beings when it is all gone, that is the only purpose here that is left when you look with the eyes of a grown men.
