Smallwood
Jedi Master
Speaking of propaganda, for one instance the Cartman character in South Park is a psychopath. There are many times in the series where his actions are condemned and the makers don't hide the fact that he is supposed to be a psychopath (anyone here watching the show would immediately recognize it). And that's all fine, but the show aligns his behaviour with anti-semitism (true, racism always is psychopathic, but it's the means and not the end and the show is completely silent on that, atleast in the context of anti-semitism) and anti-war movement (the 9/11 episode). Which is a disinfo-style lie-truth-lie routine.Mountain Crown said:Smallwood said:I have to wonder if PTB with their propaganda and COINTELPRO resources are laying tracks for the possible widespread (and who knows, maybe even controlled) outbreak of psychopathy/pathocracy information.
Could you please elaborate on this?
Figure someone who has recently been victimized by a psychopath and who comes around the first bit of knowledge on them. Most of them first come across a neutral article probably, some of them might find SOTT (if not using Google by any chance) or other sites critical of psychopathy. Or maybe they see an episode from South Park which in a sense seems morally sound at the first glance but which teaches them to just get along with the predator in the end ("AWESOM-O" episode to name one). Or maybe they watch The Dark Knight and learn from that not only do such beings as psychopaths exist (a vital piece of info) they are the terrorists that we have been fighting against no less (the lie)!
So what I'm getting at summed up: maybe PTB are playing with the idea that somehow for some reason a significant portion of common people became aware of psychopaths. Maybe PTB could insinuate them into thinking that the establishment are the good guys while the "terrorists" (read: those who are critical of establishment) are those who want to "see the world burn". This to me seems to be the angle of TDK and a certain recent video-games like Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (but I'm so not getting into that). On the other hand they could try to downplay the significance of psychopathy's role as a real destructive force by making fun of the very serious mess they've got us into and tell us to shut up and get back to bed with them (South Park). On the conspiratorial side with disinfo-outlets (see threads about Watt and Jones here and their psychopathy angle), they could try out as an experiment can they further align those spreading info about psychopathy with white-extremism and other nonsense, and further on can they in any way control the spreading of the psychopathy/pathocracy info.
But this all is obviously just suggestive of it. I realize I may have gone way too far with this. To me though it sounds odd that establishment minded media (yes, I see it nowadays as overly controlled if not effectively a single entity) would want to dig their own grave by disclosing psychopathy info just like that for no reason. Clearly there is no such visible campaign at the moment (and not need for one), but I'm just interested of the possibility that some of these bits of entertainment might be a floorplan for one in the future.
Just to be sure my aim with this is not to make those who like South Park and TDK feel uncomfortable (nor do I imply that in this forum they would get easily so). I recognize their value as entertainment, and can even enjoy them with friends, but all in all I call them as I see them . Partially of course.
Edit: heh, I now realize that the way I formulated my writing makes this post quite perfect candidate for Baked Noodles. FWIW.
