The Economist - 2026 cover

Marjorie Taylor-Green has been gaining attention with Trump dumping on her despite her support of his campaign. I think that she might be a person of interest to follow more closely.

MTG has announced that she's resigning from office and her last day will be Jan 5, 2026. It will be interesting to see what she gets up to next and what the follow on effects of that will be.

Another possibility is that it is Giorgia Meloni, Italy's prime minister, who plays a more important role in global geopolitics than Marjorie Taylor-Green, who prioritizes domestic interests over foreign interventions and sees support for Ukraine as a factor that drains US resources without clear benefit. On the other hand, Meloni balances firm support for Ukraine with diplomatic pragmatism.

In any case, the drawing shows us a woman dressed in red; both Meloni and Taylor-Green are right-wingers.

We can also see that the woman is staggering and chasing or following a robotic tank that is firing and leaving tracks. In the same direction, there is a robotic war dog, which is already being used in the war in Ukraine. Behind her is Zelensky, as if he no longer matters, and next to him is a tank that no longer moves or fires, having been rendered obsolete by the use of drones and war robots. (Or could it be a sign of the end of the war in Ukraine?)

It seems that the woman's efforts to catch up with the robotic tank that is firing are in vain. Is her disheveled hair a sign of despair?

Trump seems unaware of what is happening behind his back due to his trade war with Xi Jinping. Narendra Modi also seems to be warning Trump.

There are several things that the Cs have told us about all this recently:

● War technology (drones, robots, satellites)
(Regulattor) What was the real cause of the fire on the island of Kornat in 2007 and the deaths of 12 firefighters?

A: Space-based weapons practice

● The end of the conflict in Ukraine
Q: (Joe) [...] The Ukraine conflict doesn't seem like it will end any time soon given that the US and Europe seem unwilling to accept Russia's terms and continue arming Ukraine. How long is this conflict likely to continue?

A: Late this year or early next year, but sudden surprises could be in the works.

Q: (Joe) Can we add in, "Oreshnik, anyone?" to the end of that answer? [laughter] "Oreshnik in Kiev"?

A: Yes

● Large scale European war
(Joe) Is the West openly preparing for a new large scale European war as the Russians claim?

A: Very likely. Other events likely to intervene.

● Trump is misinformed (or unaware)
(Beau) Is Trump aware that he is ordering the bombing of innocent civilians?

A: Not so much.

Q: (Joe) Because he's fed lines of bullshit by his…

(L) Yeah, he's got all those people around him that don't tell him the truth.

One of the first things I noticed was the satellite firing what looks to be a laser, or space-based weapon, at the 'trade-war' container ship.

With that, I thought it interesting too; the Persian (Iran) at the helm of his ship handing to Zelensky an amphora vase, who in turn looks back at the Persian with a slight scowl of disapproval. Amphoras were shipping containers used in more ancient times, particular throughout the Mediterranean and the Middle-Eastern sea routes, including the Black Sea, to transport oils and wine for trade. The amphora in the picture being handed to Zelensky could also be a covert meaning for an urn for ashes.

Yes, that's right, this part possibly describes the trade war and the use of space-based weapons. While the cargo ship fires at the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States, a satellite, in turn, fires at the cargo ship. The bionic brain (IA) connected to the video game controller would then indicate war games.

Did you remember "War Games" movie from 1983? The film WarGames was released in the United States on June 3, 1983. This is a summary from Grok
Plot summary

David Lightman (Matthew Broderick) is a brilliant young high school student who loves computers and hacking systems. One day, while searching for new video games to play, he accidentally accesses a NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) military supercomputer called WOPR (War Operation Plan Response).

Believing it to be a war simulation game created by a video game company, David starts a game of "Global Thermonuclear War." What he doesn't know is that the computer interprets the game as a real attack by the Soviet Union against the United States and begins to prepare a real nuclear response.

Together with his girlfriend Jennifer (Ally Sheedy) and the reluctant help of WOPR's creator, Dr. Stephen Falken (John Wood), David will try to stop the computer before it unleashes World War III.

Other video games that David (Israel, Mossad??) sees listed :

●Falken's maze
●Blackjack
●Gin rummy
●Hearts
●Bridge
●Checkers
●Chess
●Poker
●Fighter
●Guerrilla engagement
Desert warfare
●Air-to-ground actions
●Theaterwide tactical warfare
●Theaterwide biotoxic and chemical warfare.

The last four games are represented on the cover by the Persian ship (Iran and Desert warfare), space-based weapons, and pills and syringes.

I wonder why Israel does not appear on the covers of The Economist, at least not on the last two, unless Saturn on the 2025 cover represents it.

Okay, in the movie, the creator of the WOPR supercomputer names it Joshua in honor of his deceased son. The computer also identifies itself as Joshua, and David talks to it as if it were a person or a friend, just as many people today talk to Artificial Intelligence, such as Grok, for example.

In each session, Joshua responds, "Shall we play a game?" After simulating thousands of possible scenarios, Joshua concludes that there is no winner in the game of Global Thermonuclear War and that it ends in total annihilation for both sides. Joshua says: "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?"

Joshua in the Bible was Moses' successor, a military and religious leader who led the Israelites to the Promised Land after the Exodus. He is described as a faithful servant of God, brave and obedient, who led the military conquests of Canaan and was an important figure in the history of Israel.

And in turn the ship shoots at the 250th anniversary cake and the ship carries a black flag on its bow:

A black flag on a ship is a symbol indicating the highest level of danger. Its presence at sea alerts other mariners to the critical situation the vessel is facing, which may include technical, health, or safety problems.

Interesting. According to Grok, apart from being used by pirates, the black flag symbolizes:

Quarantine or epidemic signal (official maritime use)
In the past (and still in some contexts of the International Code of Signals), a yellow flag was typically used for quarantine, but in some ports and in ancient times, a black flag was also used to indicate that the ship was carrying a contagious disease on board (plague, cholera, etc.) and it was forbidden to approach or disembark.

● Mourning or grief
In some cases, ships flew a black flag (or the national flag at half-mast with black crepe) as a sign of mourning for the death of the captain, an important member of the crew, or a prominent figure.

The color black also appears in three characters: Trump, Xi Jinping, and another who looks like George Soros, but could also be Bibi Netanyahu. The character dressed in blue is, I think, Putin. In his left hand, he holds a rod while appearing to push Bibi/Soros from behind.

Each of these characters has a capsule nearby. Xi Jinping's capsule is a different color: black and blue, while Putin's capsule is red and blue like Trump's. These colors, red and blue, also predominated on the cover of 2024, which predicted Claudia Sheinbaum's victory in Mexico (the figure of a woman with a ponytail).

Trump was absent from this cover, but brains connected to a computer and the presence of the ballot box were already visible. 2024 was a year of important elections.

Edit. Trump does appear on the cover with a question mark on his ear...

That was very specific for a coincidence. Could imply that whoever tells the artists what should be on the cover may have high-level access to secret future plans of the cabal. The Economist does belong to two powerful families, literally the Rothschilds and the Agnelli family.

Though the ear thing was probably not planned as such.
