The movie that comes to my mind is The Core -, the scene were the ship sended to the earth's core find a huge cave with giant amethyst - no a very good movie IMO, :P -

Ah thanks I knew it was something like that, yeah not a great movie but the scene stuck out for me because of the giant crystals :)

Beautiful! Thanks for posting this. Reminds me of the crystal castle from one of the Superman's movies.

My parents have a small lava orb, which is split in two. On the inside it has a beautiful colorful crystaline structure. That cave might be a giant lava / magma bubble, due to extreme pressures deep inside the earth, come up to the surface and solidified.
 
This is a very interesting thanks for posting this. Maybe this is
where the ancient atlanteans got their crystals from.

awesome stuff, I wonder what their vibrational frequencies are and if there are something hidden in those waves?
