The Greatest Speech Ever Made - Charlie Chaplin

The Living Force
I know this is very old but it is the first time I have come across it. Absolutely Brilliant - Shame people didn't listen. Good to know some people got it right though - a pleasure to listen to. What could have been must exist somewhere osit. Enjoy.

Thank you for posting this. His speech caused a deep reaction in me like almost nothing else I've seen or heard. It brought me to tears, which is rare for me. So full of power and hope! Things like this expose the popular myth of "the good old days;" Chaplin could've easily been giving this exact speech today. When he said that he's being seen by millions of people, I wondered: If only he knew his message would reverbarate across the decades, transmitted in ways he couldn't imagine, continuing to inspire those who hear it. Maybe somewhere he does know.

It's the first time i've come across it too. Wow x2 ! I like to think "what could have been" exists in some alternate human timeline, one far too difficult to be corrupted like ours is now.

Note to self: "must stop thinking that the old days was good." If he could have given that speech today (without getting assassinated) who would listen? Thank you happyliza & Argonaut.

I agree totally with what you guys say - it is nourishing to know what is truly possible and a great example of STO living. With the balance in the Universe we know STO exists, just not here. But good to get glimpses of what to aspire to - again other than our 'heroes' very rare.

On the other side of the coin. If things were not hotting up here on the STS mode, and getting 'scary' for us, would we bother tolearn, observe, research for the truth behind the lies and propaganda that cuts us so deep? Doubt it during 'good' times.

We have a little 'respite' at the moment, a hiatus where the world has a chance to reflect. The calm before the storm so to speak. This is itself can give 'hope' that change may be able to seep through the 'gap'. But also looking from another view it could be a little shove to people - the 'interval/shock' as in the Law of 7 (octaves). OSIT.

Whatever happens after that may depend on the resulting 'energy' on our planet?

Either way - some may have had a glimmer of true reality, that they would not otherwise have had to start to wake up. 'Love' in action? Help from outside? The man behind the curtain? Either way a possible 'chance' for change and alternative 'change agents' 'activists' to have their say. Regardless the final outcome - it can help some as we have seen.

IMHO to'rule' any country that has such disparate 'religions and politics' is a hotbed and there has tobe an element of perceived 'fear' control to help keep the top on the volcano aka Ghaddafi, Saddam and Assad for starters.

For me I just welcome the transparency, honesty and reality with which Bashar al Assad speaks. His wisdom of past events and his incredible self control in the face of such accusatory and stupid and repetitive questions he is continually bombarded with. The way he has to reiterate the truth, his consitency and allegiance to his people. So refreshing in the midst of so much ponorology. A rare breed - getting rarer.

For me he is my current hero and all the Syrians who support him. FWIW
