Now this dude led a pretty interesting and debauched life. I feel sorry for him as throughout the whole book he's crying to become a mainstream actor. Nonetheless he's got a great philosophy on life which made me keep reading.
He basically states "what right do I have to complain about life when many soldiers willingly gave their lives in some stupid war at a young age."
He also affirms his beliefs in reincarnation and told a tale of when he went to see god after his death as a mutilated soldier from WW2 and God asked him.... "So my son would you like to be a doctor? lawyer? pornstar? plumber?.......... EXCUSE ME.... what was that second last one?
