The Illusion of Time and some possibilities?

The Force is Strong With This One
I am busy re-reading "Debugging the Universe - The Hero's Journey" for the 4th time - so much depth and detail, I find my brain almost slipping off some of the info contained in this volume - hence the repetition! Anyway, to get to the point of this post, which is my first since posting my "newbie" intro, so if I am way off line, any guidance will be appreciated.

According to the C's, time is an illusion, and does not exist in any form, other than our perception, and they go on to describe a slide projector, with a carousel of slides, with the current slide, being our "now", but that all other slides are being perceived and exist at the same time, as all there is, is the present, the past and the future are part of our illusion of time.

So in my pre-sleep haze I was going through this concept, and it occurred to me that a possibility may exist to merge some of the "slides". I know the C's have spoken of merging realities, and my thinking was that merging "time" may be part of this.

The example that sprang to mind was the following: When I was about 5 years old, I had my nose broken by a cricket ball. Over time this has caused my nose to only have the use of 1 nostril for breathing, which is frustrating, especially as I am allergy prone, and trying to do EE with a blocked nose is no fun!! So a thought occurred - what if I could go to my 5 year old slide, and bring my unbroken nose into this reality I am currently perceiving? Is this wishful thinking, or is there a real possibility that we could "change" a small part of our current reality by borrowing or changing a "past" reality?

Just some of my way out thinking that may need some tweaking.

Well I'm sure it's possible, but you won't be doing it any time soon IMO. We live in this world of limitation, in a frequency fence, where it takes a tremendous amount of effort even to just see ourselves, control our emotions, and live consistently.

Maybe when we master these most basic things we can one day understand and use time travel. I also think that was we move forward in to the future and act on knowledge, we may somehow change the past in some non linear way, or cross into a new reality. But for now I think you're stuck with one nostril ;)

Hi Greybeard,
Sorry to hear that you have a blocked nostril.
Sadly, I agree with Carlise, we're bound to this 3d density with no possibility, at least for now, to go back in time to change what we've done or happened to us.
What matters is what we do now, what we do next in hope to alter the future hence the great amount of practical advices available on the forum ;)

For sure it isn't fun. I'm sorry to hear that.

Given that time doesn't exist and everything happens "now", what the poor kid would do without his nose? And how would you feel with a small kid nose not really fitting an adult? If the cricket ball 'had not hit your nose' what else would it have hit instead? If it were another person hit and they went back in time.... ;) Just a few funny questions from the top of my head. I'm sure there are more like that. Remember Ark's thoughts on time traveling?

Paradoxes and all that. I'm sorry to hear about your nose. I used to have breathing difficulties often waking me up in the night as i would skip a breath, plus i had chronic insomnia too! As i understand it there is "time", just not in the limited way perceived by 3rd density inhabitants, so yes all is now infinitely, cycles within cycles no "future" or "past" as we see them all being created & merged etc.

Say the ball (& cricket balls are bloomin' rock hard) hits your neck & not your nose, maybe your windpipe. You get taken to the Accident & Emergency ward (as a young child would) they sort you out but not 100% & you end up with worse breathing difficulties. From that point all sorts could happen. Or say you held your hand up to protect your face. The ball hits your wrist, breaks it & you have complications from there on. You might get into a fight not of your own making & try to again protect some vulnerable part of you & get injured there again. Now that hand is rendered useless & dreams of uses for musical talent are gone. Sport? Forget it.

Go back to move yourself out of the way & 1 of the outfielders sees a double (that would freak me out more than aeroplanes magically disappearing behind a solitary puffy cloud!) & freaks out. You go on & achieve.. whatever & don't end up at the forum. The outfielder so shocked (the sensitive soul s/he is) represses the info & ends up seeing weird stuff on & off for years driving them loopy, seeking help with "out there" claims & gets pills that turn them even more loopy as it screws up the non-ordinary seeing capacity which continues for decades. Now they're dependant on pharmaceuticals their family washes their hands of them & their rotting in a psych ward probably being taken advantage of by some "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" type "carer" or the Angelina Jolie movie "girl interrupted" for instance. And all from your time-travelling exploits! And then you go back again t...

There's a point past which surgical correction makes sense. This might be an example, in the absence of contraindications. After all, the cricket ball has already done its own "surgery."

I'm sorry to hear about your injury, Graybeard. Have you ever had an x-ray and evaluation to see what is causing the blockage? It could be a deviated septum, which can be surgically repaired. Or it may be calcium deposits or polyps, which can also be removed. These options would certainly be easier than time travel. :)

Thanks all for the responses! Much appreciated. I know my question and proposed solution is simplistic in terms of the vastly complex concept of time as an illusion, but a man can dream! As far as surgery is concerned, I have had too much of that in this life, having broken my spine when I was 13, and given that hospitals are, in my opinion, to be avoided unless it critical to survival, I have chosen to live with th nasal defect, and sometimes fantasize about non-surgical solutions that may be beyond my present state of being and awareness! All there is is lessons! :) :)

The beauty of living in 2013 is that there have been many medical advancements. If this is so bothersome what is the problem with having a simple talk with a specialist about your nose and see what your options are. I believe it's a sacred cow to say hospitals should be only used for life or death and this type of thinking can restrict and hold you back from living a more efficient life imo
