The Language of Miracles by Amelia Kinkade

Here is something that just happened the other day. I was working on filling a really large gabion full of rock. I had sat down to rest and a little wren landed on fence next to face. I felt like I got the impression that he was thankful for my work. Ha ha! Had a good laugh at myself on that one. Why on earth would a little wren have any interest in my building gabions. After finishing my work for the day and I was getting together my tools I see the wren land again with a friend. They had bits of string and strips of bark. They both hopped into the spaces of rock in the gabion to began making their nest. I do not call those kind a confirmation. Maybe I just had a wild thought and a little wren by happen chance wanted to start building a nest on my new constructed gabion.

I think that was pretty cool and why spoiling it with over-analyzing? Why not just go with the flow and for the sake of experiment take it as wren really did express gratitude. Many people wouldn't even notice the wren and during that moment you were connected with nature and that is priceless - even if it comes with "crazy animal lady" tag ;)

It is my impression too that animals ( and plants) try to communicate with us all the time - but we dont know how to listen. Perhaps we can tune this sense, its certainly worth experimenting. OSIT

my thoughts exactly. :headbanger:

I started reading the book and after few pages I was slightly put off. When she is giving an account how she went to the royal stables and talked to depressed horse and the horse talked to her about this and that and even mentioned the exercise they are supposed to have on Saturday etc.
Of course I cannot be sure but I always thought that animals cannot possibly understand human concepts like time and days of the week. But who knows maybe I am wrong. According to her account the stable attendant confirmed all the information she got through a horse which was depressed because they moved his best buddy to another stable.

In any case the book is enjoyable easy read and also she presents concepts which resonate with me, so I will continue to read and tell you whether its worthy to get the book or not when I finish it all.

I remember seeing a woman do this on television once. I thought it was a way to make money, but she seemed to be confirmed of what she said by the owners of these animals.
I wonder if it is more of an empathic ability, and like a medium our brain filters the info into concepts we can understand, and perhaps the animals brain does the same thing?

There will be more than that, that will put you off about the book. She has also become a vegetarian and has a lot of digestive issues. One thing I found interesting is how many of the animals ailments also corresponded with things that the animals owners were going through. Like liver problems and the owners that have drinking issues. When I worked in barns or clinics it was always interesting to meet the owners. One example was one of the meanest, untrusting, introverted dogs I have ever met, had an owner who was just like the dog. Or the horses who almost by clock work colic when their owners go out of town. It is not a be all end all information source. For me it started an exploration into things I have already experienced and had no words for and she talked about it.

As far as animals understanding human time, I have been telling my dogs now how long I will be gone and why. Seems silly but one of my dogs who has a chronic chewing of his legs when I am gone from home has stopped. I have also seen a noticeable difference in the horses when they are told what we will be doing for the day.

I consider myself about as psychic as a bag of rocks , but I do know that there is more than what we have been taught about the relationship of animals and humans and how we can interact and learn from each other. I have countless stories of how I just knew things, but most of the time when this happens it is with animals.

I found her book on amazon and purchased it based on reviews. Not the most scientific approach, but a starting point. It seems that there are some real fruit loops out there and she seemed the most legit.

I didn't come to vegetarian bit yet but I had similar thought about the subject - oh dear - why would farmer want to communicate with his sheep?!

I like her writing style and she seems very knowledgeable - so far I am enjoying the book

I also ordered Straight from the Horses mouth at the same time so I might be confusing the two on where she discusses becoming a vegetarian.

Hi everyone,

I read this book several years ago and it inspired me to go on a course. As I live in Australia, I went with Trisha McCagh. After the short course, I did a three day animal retreat some months later.

I definitely believe that some people have a genuine ability to communicate with animals (although obviously there will always also be scammers out there).

One particular experience blew me away. I was partnered up with a girl who was instructed to connect to one of my cats and then describe my house. At first she was completely wrong, but the cat in question has a very outgoing personality and I got the feeling that she was just overexcited at having someone talk to her (she is such a floozy when people visit). I tried to communicate with her myself to calm her down and requested that she show the girl around the house. That's when the girl began describing, in full detail, the interior of my house, without a single mistake. It was truly amazing! Some people in the class wondered (as do I) whether in these circumstances we are reading each other rather than the animal.

Personally I have found it a challenge to communicate with animals. I am sure that my biggest obstacle is self doubt - constantly questioning whether what I feel is real or whether it is just assumption. Especially in regards to my own fluffy babies.

Trisha actually hears the animals voices inside her head. I have only ever got single words and fleeting images, for the most part I just feel. Although I am far from an expert in this matter, I feel that my cats appreciate the effort anyway. :)

I live next to a horse stable, and it was my doggie who recently passed, that pulled me in that direction. My dog L'Ouija was usually not the type to want to interact with other animals too much, but interact he did. He went straight up to a large horse being groomed by his owner, and the owner and I got to talking. She expressed her fears about feeling one of her horses didn't like or respond to her very well. I opened my mouth and a stream of words continued to come out of me because I allowed it to. I remember feeling "should I tell or not?", a moments hesitation before all of the information about the horse came out of my mouth. Now this is not unusual with people, but animals I don't get the opportunity to communicate unless asked in this way. She and I were a little surprised at what transpired, but it was right on. Down to the history, the ailments, what to do about them, and other specific info that was extremely helpful, as she was actually thinking of letting the animal go. It was at that point that the words came out of me. She thanked me and asked me about the other horses and the info came, although not as fervently, as it really didn't have much to do with her OSIT, and it was more out of curiosity. She wanted to pay me and I laughed, saying absolutely not. As she was frustrated and wanted to give back something , she offered to have me ride with her and I jumped at the idea. YES!
This also cemented a better relationship with these neighbors, in retrospect, as I am the new person to the area. So my boy L'ouija obviously knew what he was doing it seems, as I didn't choose going down that road consciously, amazing how it works when we get out of the way. The false personality may have judged the situation and repressed the words had I not let that wall of denial down. A lesson in self-acceptance for me and simultaneous self observation.

Hi, Horseofadifferentcolor,
That is so wonderful about the wren. It seemed a legitimate conversation to me, that you had. I have communicated with some of my animals quite clearly. Some spoke using flash's of pictures in my head. My current friend, Shaydan is a Rat Tarrier/Italion Greyhound mix. I get what converts to words and sometimes I get feelings. I have also learned to distinguish the flavor of some of her barks. Being a sight and scent hound she finds all types of things to discover.
I did have a thought though and those of you that would know please chime in....doing the Work, and clearing all of the garbage from the mind, and everything that the Work entails, would that in itself make it easier to pick up these special communications? They are telepathic after all right. Isn't that how we can communicate in Fourth density? Maybe its one more way that they can help us in our training and learning. Anyway, I may be off in left field with this one as I am only speculating. But thought I would see what you guys thought. Tarri

Hello Tarri,
It would make sense that when you have a clearer mind, working on yourself, that it would be easier to hear information better. I don't really know. In my experience, I can not hear/feel anything if I try. Just my own mind trying to figure out if I am just making stuff up. So, I stopped trying. I have become more diligent in paying attention to the random perceptions or feelings that I get when they feel like they do not belong to me though. For example, sometimes when I am working in the garden I will feel that my space is being invaded and feel a sense of panic, that makes me feel like jumping back out of what I am doing. I usually see that I am not alone and some critter is frozen still right by me wondering why I am up in their space.

I have always loved plants and have been paying closer attention to how different plants energies feel to me. It seems easier with people though. A walk through a store usually has lots of different moods and personalities to experience just by standing in line with them. The easiest thing for me to feel for plants, animals, or people is thirst. A few months ago I was driving home and I got the distinct word flash in my head "activist". Then to my right a black SUV passed by me in the fast lane with a red V for vendetta sticker on the back of their vehicle. That was the only time I can recall something like that happening. I thought it was pretty neat.
Learning to read energy fields from any source I am sure would be helpful. It's just learning how to read them I guess. I have not gotten any better, so I just observe them when they come and make use of the information if applicable.
