I just finished reading a book called "The Last Circle" by Cheri Seymour. If you have ever read about the journalist Danny Casolaro who was investigating the theft of software called PROMIS by the DOJ then you'll love this book. Danny Casolaro was 'suicided' in 1991 and Cheri Seymour picked up on this case a few months after Danny Casolaro's death. This book is highly detailed and informative as Mr. Casolaro's book was going to be called "The Octopus" for all the tentacles that spread out from his investigation which led out to the Cabazon Indian Casino/Reservation and involved arms deals and drug trafficking. Cheri Seymour picks up on this trail and gets involved with the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, the mafia, and political officials. The trail led her to find players in arms deals, drugs, biowarfare, mind control, unexplained murders, and connections from the White House to companies such as MCA. The ending revolves around Rachel Begley's attempts to bring self-confessed mafia hitman, Jimmy Hughes, to justice in the US. Her father was murdered by Jimmy Hughes in 1981 in a triple homicide that included Fred Alvarez, who at the time, was Vice Chairman of the Cabazon Tribal Council. She brings the latest details of this case up to 2010. The book concludes with 137 pages of documents and pictures associated with this case.
