The Politics of Climate Change: Green New Deal And Other Madness

Environmental activists delivered a petition to a special session of the Swiss parliament on Monday demanding that a government aid package should promote a "green recovery" from the coronavirus crisis.

May 4, 2020 - With some lawmakers wearing protective face masks, parliament convened at an exhibition centre rather than its normal building so members had extra space to maintain social distancing rules.

Campaigners said the 62 billion Swiss francs ($64 billion) in emergency economic aid should be used in an environmentally friendly way.

More than 22,000 people signed the petition demanding that support for companies in sectors with large greenhouse gas emissions like aviation be tied to reducing their environmental impact.

The package includes 1.28 billion Swiss francs in loan guarantees for Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) units Swiss and Edelweiss.

“We are here because we want to make it a green recovery. We need to foster measures that help us to quit fossil fuels now in the wake of corona,” said Georg Klingler from Greenpeace Switzerland. “We need to make our society more resilient for the crises to come,” he told Reuters.

He urged the government to back measures to eliminate the use of fossil fuels and promote renewable energy, and called on the financial industry to fund sustainable solutions.

“Today they are still heavily invested in fossil fuels and financing a world that will get 4C to 6C hotter,” he said. “That is not sustainable at all.”

Many environmentalists see efforts to minimise the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic as a chance to scale up the technologies needed to speed a transition to cleaner energy.

Fatih Birol, head of the International Energy Agency, has also said support from governments could drive rapid growth in battery and hydrogen technology to help the world to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.

The Swiss government has made few moves in that direction, although President Simonetta Sommaruga said last week the government’s climate targets were still valid and airlines needed to contribute to them.

Campaigner Zoe Roth from Basel said the COVID-19 crisis presented an opportunity to change thinking.

“During this corona crisis we have seen how vulnerable this world is,” she said. “In the ... climate crisis, which is way bigger, we really need to do something. We need to take this crisis as a chance to build a more just and more sustainable future,” she said.

Had missed news of Naomi Seibt's troubles with the German state in the last while (the below is May 24, 2020).

In Germany Naomi Seibt has been fined, and faces the threat of further legal sanctions for the crime of talking to the Heartland Institute, and the crime of publicly disagreeing with the official position of Germany’s increasingly authoritarian bureaucracy.

In a sick twist, the official motto of the German government agency which fined Naomi for wrongspeak is “Der Meinungsfreiheit verpflichtet”, which means “Committed to Freedom of Expression”.

And there were two other articles here on February 24, 2020:

Full article here.

Here is a video worth watching:

And again on February 27, 2020 here:
The “anti-Greta” Thunberg debuts on Fox News with a message of hope for young people.

Said Naomi: “I hate to see so many young people panicking about climate change” when they haven’t done their own research on the science.

Ice Age Farmer reporting in his new video on passed law from EU on May 20th and about shifting gears towards Green New Deal.

"The EU's "Farm to Fork" strategy was unveiled this week, describing the necessary shift in people's diets to insects as protein and away from meat/dairy. The EU promises to apply prohibitively high luxury taxes to meat and dairy, and has allocated € 100s of billions to BOTH buy out traditional farmers to stop farming AND simultaneously fund robotic insect farms and lab-grown meat. Plus, they plan to refuse any trade deals unless partner countries are EQUALLY committed to "Green Alliances." This is a GLOBAL takeover of our food supply. Understand it. Expose it. Grow food."

"The EU's "Farm to Fork" strategy was unveiled this week...

Indeed, such an insidious plan has been devised starting with demonizing and deplatforming the element of C02 ppm's while monetizing its architecture economic control value - thank you very much Mr. Maurice Strong and Co.

Thirty years ago, farmers would have had their pitchfork out for anyone proposing such a 'strategy' as can now be seen with the EU and Co. in print, yet now this creeping ponerization process (that waited for generational change while quadrupling-down with IPCC et al. climate propaganda dictates) sees so many cheering and welcoming these multifaceted life altering realities. In this case, the Ice Age Farmer notes it will be easy to shift consumers by putting a tax on what foods they deem necessary, while banning farming (with the exception of big corporate farming) - the consumer choice will be removed economically, or so seems to be the plan. Eat bugs, grass and lab grown food, they say, which shows how much they think of humanity...

Gurdjieff, in more simple terms from that of Lobaczewski, who had so well described the macrosocial political process behind all this, reminded in this
story from within Beelzebub's Tales, of the smelling of a chicken's ass:

"Your monarchy, your communism, your surrealism, all have exactly the same quality, the same value. All four, five, ten, however many exist, it is the same thing, the same smell. It smells like a chicken's ass. The expression does exist. When you buy a chicken, you always sniff it in one place, whether it's old or young, there is one place you sniff - under the tail. That's the way you can tell if it's old or young, if it was killed five days, a week or a month before. That is why you smell it there. All chickens smell the same in that place, but with different qualities. Old, one quality, young, another quality, but both are mixed with the smell of shit. It is the same with all your political parties. The smell is mixed with the smell of shit."

These days, despite the young or old smell from those who have these very same qualities of odor, one of these types might find themselves accepting a Nobel prize - with global accolades flowing in, of course. However, some might say the odor smells similar to the old eugenicists asses that never went away. Same thinking, different scientific and control tactic?

Back to the Ice Age Farmer, he had cited from the above his video on 'Beefgate,' so here it is below if missed:

Hi Voyager. FWIW, that story from G does not appear anywhere in BsT. It does sound like Gurdjieff though

Extinction Rebellion is a deranged fundamentalist religion that seeks global domination. Just 2 months ago BLM was a rather minor protest group. Now they are basically the biggest political party in the West. Just wait when the global Cabal puts this group in the frontlines of influence and decision making. The great Reset is coming.

The Five Things Extinction Rebellion Does Not Want You to Know About Extinction Rebellion

The surprisingly successful Extinction Rebellion is running a con game on everyone, especially their own followers. Ostensibly the standard bearer of the “Keep It in the Ground” movement, Extinction Rebellion (XR) is actually on a mission to topple governments, destroy the global economy, and “replace representative democracy.” At least according to the architect of the XR movement, Roger Hallam.

Before he started getting mainstream media coverage, Hallam—a failed organic carrot farmer who “decided to take down the system because I didn’t like it very much”—was much more candid about his real ambition with XR. Following are five things he admitted about XR that he doesn’t want you to know.

XR WANTS TO OVERTHROW ALL GOVERNMENTS

“Name of the game, you’ve got to bring down all the regimes in the world, ideally simultaneously, and replace them.”

“The practical implementation happens by paralyzing major cities with masses of people. Disabling traffic for a sufficiently long period of time would result in food shortages. Once that happens the regime will fall.”

This should come as quite a surprise to the thousands of XR protester who were told the reason for shutting down traffic in London for nearly two weeks last April was to draw attention to the issue of climate change.

XR WANTS TO DESTROY ECONOMIES

“Arguments about the need to ‘protect the economy,’ ignoring that the current economy is taking us over a cliff into collapse, simply cannot hold up. So, let’s be clear. A Climate Emergency is not a rhetorical call for accelerated climate action, it’s a call for a major transition of the economy. There is simply no other way to get the job done. … It will mean shutting down cities, shutting down companies and if necessary, shutting down parts of the economy.”

XR EXPECTS VIOLENCE

"We are going to force the governments to act. And if they don't, we will bring them down and create a democracy fit for purpose. And yes, some may die in the process."

Protesters should be ready to cause disruption through “personal sacrifice … You need about 400 to go to prison and you need two to three thousand people to get arrested ... If necessary, they should be willing to die.”

XR WANTS TO ELIMINATE REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY

“When a society reaches a point of extreme imbalance then only a revolutionary episode can be successful in reorienting it. This reorientation is concretized through a replacement of representative democracy … with a National Citizens’ Assembly.

This National Citizens’ Assembly would then create regional and city Citizens’ Assemblies so as to facilitate the decentralization of power. The National Citizens’ Assembly would create a new written constitution which would ensure such assemblies were a permanent fixture of our political life.”

XR ACKNOWLEDGES THE SCAM

“A key part of our strategy will be to sell the plan to a critical mass of the liberal elite ‘defectors’ as well as to the 1% of the general population who will lead the disruption.”

That would be the same “1%” who believe this movement is about the climate. But according to Stuart Basden, one of the original co-founders of Extinction Rebellion, it clearly isn’t.

“Extinction Rebellion isn’t about the climate. It’s not even about ‘climate justice.’ If we only talk about the climate, we’re missing the deeper problems plaguing our culture … It’s a call to the XR community to never say we’re a climate movement. Because we’re not. We’re a Rebellion.”

"A powerful, global AI surveillance system has been announced this week by Al Gore. The system is powerful enough to detect emissions from every power plant, each farm, and every wood-burning stove on the planet. This system affords total information awareness to the powers that be -- and is being plugged in to the DoD's AI weapons system, in a war being perpetrated against all of humanity. Christian breaks it down in this Ice Age Farmer report."

I wonder if anyone else here was banking on the satellites taking a hit sooner than later? Just my yearning l suppose (want to be left alone) and that yearning is most likely much further down the road than l even want to visualize it seems. Wood stoves are the go to back up for those of us that live in the northern part of the US. My hope now is that any enforcement cadres will flag and attention will be focused elsewhere, keep the faith.

I think the PTB have to build a lot more prisons in the near future to lock up ''conspiracy thinkers'' and ''right-wing extremists''.

Criticizing the government and so-called science models is verboten in Germany. How nostalgic.

Why build prisons when concentration camps are so much more "efficient"... :-O

Just as a side note, Green party (!!!) is a winner in last local elections in several big cities in West Germany (NRW):
they have mayors in Bonn, Aachen, Wuppertal, Emsdetten, Havixbeck, Monschau, Lohmar, Rösrath, Nettetal, Altenberge, Rheinberg, Kempen.
They are indoctrinating kids from ground-school, pushing them in protests against CO2, ect.

Adding to the contradictions happening all over at the moment, the Victorian government is making changes to it's Environmental Protection Act to re-classify manure as industrial waste. That move will seek to cap the amount of manure that can be used to regenerate or improve soils or support organic farming to 20 cubic meters.

"The VFF (Victorian Farmers Federation) has opposed the proposal that animal manure be reclassified as industrial waste and is disappointed that farmer's views have not been listened to," Mr Bullen said.

While acknowledging the EPA was trying to make the process simpler he said it went against a growing awareness of sustainability and valuing by-products of the agricultural process.

"Farmers have been utilising animal manure as a sustainable by-product of agriculture for decades," he said
"To lump them with increased green-tape is baffling."

Manure from chicken and pig farms is a valuable fertiliser, especially in organic cropping systems, while deep-banding animal litter has shown huge promise in the state's south-west in lifting soil organic carbon levels.

Strange thing about that is that increasing carbon banks in the soil is supposed to reduce atmospheric carbon levels and there are sellable carbon credits available if green measures have been used to offset carbon foot print. The linked article coins a term that I haven't heard before - Green tape:

GREEN TAPE: Those using animal manure as a sustainable form of fertiliser will have to complete more paperwork regarding their application techniques under proposed changes to the Victorian environmental protection act.

An article from 2019 points out that farmers can earn an additional income by creating carbon sinks through changing to more green and sustainable farming practices and selling their carbon credits to other industries that have high emissions:

Corryong, Victoria, organic dairy farmer Stephen Whitsed is now preparing to sell soil carbon credits for what he considers simply improving his farm's productivity.

"If you can increase your soil carbon by 1 per cent, you increase its ability to hold water - by 140,000 litres per hectare," he said.

It's like:

PTB: Let's go green and sustainable.
Adaptable Farmer: OK! Reduce reliance on petrochemical fertilisers and use manure! Save money, improve productivity, grow healthier food and create an additional income stream! No brainer!
PTB: Wait a minute buddy. Not that green and sustainable or in that way. We want to make food in laboratories so grow trees instead and wait 20 - 30 years for any serious income because we don't want you in the middle class.
