They are formed by the shadows in the bodies of the lovers. Easiest to see are probably the ones around their heads.

True, also try to find the tails in the shadows, they are more evident.

If you save the image to the desktop,
blow it up. There is perhaps more than
meets the eye - not only is there a message
on the tag, but also, the two "shadows" on
the left/right sides of the bottle. The one on
the right appears like a manatee, or so it seems?

Also, there seems to be at least 10 dolphins...

I do not see a manatee. They are essentially the couple and dolphins. That is the basis of the study.

Oh, it took me a little while to see the dolphins! I was trying to see them outside the image of the couple, while in fact, there were 9 pretty dolphins right there. :D

I count 9 too.

I saw the couple first. It took me a lot of looking to find the dolphins!
