This week on the Truth Perspective join us as we discuss why Daesh is Doomed - and other tales of failed terror states

The Islamic State pretends to be viable state. It's right there in their name. But are they? And if they are, can they sustain themselves? There are certain reasons why states survive or fail, but the least discussed reasons are perhaps the most important. Luckily, these are discussed in Andrew Lobaczewski's Political Ponerology. Today, we'll continue where our discussion of radicalization left off, showing why Daesh is doomed to fail and why it doesn't pose as big of a threat as the propaganda makes it appear. But we'll also discuss why it does pose a certain level of threat, especially to real states like Syria and Iraq. The reason is external, foreign support: from their Gulf monarchy sponsors and from the U.S.

Russia is playing a big part in the ultimate demise of Daesh. We'll be discussing what Russia and their allies have accomplished, up to the latest news: the partial withdrawal of Russian forces from Syria.

Very good program. It is a pleasure to listen so intelligente analysis and expression of understanding. I am so proud to be part of this extraordinary family that is Sott. That's what I was thinking listening to you. ;D

Didn't know where to put this, so I decided to put it here. There is a new book coming out and it's totally crazy!

Jihadi Culture: The Art and Social Practices of Militant Islamists

Al-Qaida and Islamic State continue to captivate the world with their extreme violence. While much attention has been given to the operations and doctrines of jihadi groups, this is the first book to explore their culture. Using a wealth of primary sources, the authors examine what goes on inside these organizations and what daily life is like for the foot-soldiers. They show that Islamist militants have a rich aesthetic culture and do much more than fight and train. Life in a jihadi group is in fact filled with poetry and music, and fighters spend time on surprising things like dream interpretation and weeping. Readers will discover an entirely new perspective on radical Islamists: that despite their reputation as macho men, they value humility, artistic sensitivity, and displays of emotion. Cultural practices are essential for understanding the jihadi worldview and may shed important new light on decision-making and recruitment processes in extremist groups. This original book will interest anyone in academia, government, or the general public who is intrigued by the appeal and resilience of the jihadi movement.

It seems that the West is still heavily promoting jihadism.

Yeah, Western think tankers and the like just love a bit of 'radical Islam' to achieve their bizarre goals. Check out the author's bio, he sounds like the typical postmodern nihilist 'intellectual' produced by Western government and academia.

Trained in Middle East Studies at the University of Oxford and at Sciences Po, Paris, he has held fellowships at Harvard, Princeton, New York and Stanford Universities, and at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey.
