The film gives an important message:
Do not hold on to the anger.
The possibility of forgiveness has always been there.

Note the metaphor with the mirror and the cleaning compulsion. The latter (comedy of the boy) relaxes at the end the important final point.
The film is funny and profound, but also a little creepy. Just as the messed people live.

I went to the movies to see this one.. not a good idea hehe, IMO it is very creepy :/

Thanks for sharing, Alchemie.

It looks like a film directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The last film by him was After Earth (with Will Smith), which was okay. But, the one before that was The Last Airbender, which was fun to watch but it didn't have his "signature" like his earlier films. Of all his films, I particularly enjoyed Lady in the Water.

I'm now curious to watch it, despite its creep factor.

Don't know, it looks almost a little too creepy. Though there are a couple of Shyamalan's films, which I really liked and also particularly Lady in the Water. I think the story around the Last Airbender missing his "signature" was because the plot was some sort of "order" from his superiors who wanted him to produce a blockbuster, when his usual story lines aren't really blockbuster stuff, since he most likes to produce paranormal content.

It is not really creepy. The Trailer pushes the scariest Scenes of that film.
I have also seen "the village" by M. Night Shyamalan

I watched The Village recently. Liked it a lot, for a lot of reasons. It got horrible reviews, which I looked at after seeing it. Many people said that they hated it so much because the trailer suggested it to be a very different type of story. Maybe some of that same issue is going on with The Visit trailer.
