Thieve's Oil

During the Black Death in France, 4 robbers seemed to have a total immunity against the plague. They were stoling the cadavers, going in contaminated houses every days without any problems... until they were catch and forced to reveal their secret : how could they resist to the course?
In fact, they were from the same family, a long generation of apothecaries, and every day they protected themselves with a mix of specific oils with which they covered themself.
The story says that the recipe of this oil, transmitted to the King, help him to protect all the royal family.

Some others sources pointed out that some professions were more protected against the plague : perfumers ( who were all the day manipulating aromatic oils such as lavender extracts) and tanners ( who used aromatic oils too for perfume some piece of leather as gloves).

Essentials oils are very known for their bactericid and for some anti-virus qualities.

Here the recipe for the famous "oil of 4 robbers" ( warning : it's very concentrated - never use without diluting in a 4 part of vegetal oil as almond oil or olive oil for a skin contact. But it could be used pure for purifying the air, or put some drops on clothes/hankerchief):

2 parts of Syzygium aromaticum ( cloves)
1 part of Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary)
2 parts of Eucalyptus globulus ( protector of low respiratory tracts)
1 part of Eucalyptus radiata ( protector of high respiratory tracts)
1/2 part of Cinnamomum verum - cinnamon is a very strong oil, one of the strongest for bactericid action.
2 part of Citrus lemon

Keep in a fresh place and from the light.

I add also that Satureia Montana essential oil is a very good antibacterial, fungicidal, antivirus BUT very irritating for skin so it must be diluted with 80% of vegetal oil. My own doctor said to me that he takes one drop pure on the tongue when he feels sore throat symptoms but I think he's a little bit masochist  as I have already take it with honey and even with honey, one drop is like pure fire in your mouth...

It seems also that Angelica Archangelica is effective against plague and cholera : it is said that Gabriel Archangel, in many apparitions, inspired humans to use the plant during this dark period to help humans with the disease, and at the time of Justinian emperor, a "rain of seeds" of Angelica fall from the sky to protect humanity :

Thanks for the links ! :)

And always remember that the Search function is one of our best friend on the forum.

But when you don't know the english name for "thieves oil" ( from the french "huile des 4 voleurs") (my title have been changed by Laura maybe) because I was using the term "robbers" instead of "thieves", you can understand that search function is not always efficient :(

Essential oil of Cistus ladaniferus is also good for hemorragic issues, so as ebola is known to give such symptoms as hemorragic diarrhea, maybe a good one to add to the thieve'oil recipe and take also in internal use.

Some others good antivirus/anti-bacterial oils (latin names for best precision) :

* Ocimum basilicum and ocimum sanctum
*Coriandrum sativum
*Cuminum ciminum
*Cinnamomum camphora
*Laurus nobilis
*Leptospermum scoparium
*Melaleuca alternifolia
*Origanum majorana CT thujanol
*Melaleuca quinquenervia
*Cymbopogon martinii
*Thymus capitatus
*Origanum compactum
*Ravensara aromatica
*Thymus vulgaris thymoliferum and Thymus satureoides

For rosmarinus (in the recipe above), as you can find several varieties, here the best for viral infection:
*Rosmarinus officinalis verbenoniferum

For my part, I will add some of these others oils in my Thieve oil, because each oil can increase the spectrum of action and so the synergy will give more efficacity. There is some neutral base to take essential oils in internal as here : http://www.herbes-et-traditions.fr/fr/huiles-essentielles/588-solubol-pour-rendre-les-he-miscibles-dans-l-eau.html

Don't forget to dilute in a vegetal oil for skin application, but think also that you could use them for aerial diffusion ( if you don't have a special diffuser, you can put some drops in a little cup and put it on a heat source, or some drops in a big candle, or spraying in the air after dilution in a solution to be miscible in water.

Hope this help!
