I think I understand it to be referring to the Catholic church, but just making such a blanket statement about 'church' and 'abstinence' I don't think really gets the point across. As an example, I've been abstinent most of my life, and I'm a member of a church - I've certainly never wanted to have anything to do with what the picture implies. Just a friendly head's up that as is, it could be open to varied interpretations.

In light of all the pedophile priests exposed in the Catholic Church in recent years, this is unfortunately true. It is clearly a "priest with a small child". I don't think anyone can easily misinterpret this message. It seems to have hit a nerve with Jason.

My apologies, I think I was just being dense. I looked at the picture, and tried to break it down by its basic components. Having very little knowledge or experience with the Catholic church, I didn't understand that the figure (and design even!) was immediately recognizable as a Catholic priest. In my mind, without that association, it appeared to be ambiguous to all churches. (Which led to me asking myself "Is this trying to say that abstinence=child molestation?")
I suppose I could have phrased all that initially in a more open and objective way, rather than add my own personal projection which seems to have muddled the intent. Sorry for the confusion! Very clever photo, in retrospect.
