Tom DeLonge "To The Stars"

Woodsman

The Living Force
I just saw this interview with one, Tom DeLonge, apparently a rock star with lots of cash and a taste for things UFO:

According to his story, he quickly accumulated a lot of very high-ranking friends and contacts and has put together a company which sounds like a cross between a "Disclosure Project" and "Space X" -and a media/entertainment outfit. -All of which appears to carry a valence opposite to that of the whole Disclosure Project vibe; You get the sense that the Aliens are not nice and good in this version and that is an effort to raise awareness and even "push back".

Anyway, this is extremely current stuff and it is unusual to see the kind of official clout assembled in the roster.

I was wondering what people's thoughts and impressions were on this. -Because I sure can't figure out what's going on here. Is it fishy and manipulative, or genuine and wishful or.., what?

He was in the band Blink 182, which I liked as an adolescent. I thought it was cool that he got into Ufology recently. But I wasn't sure how many connections he would make, and just thought he wouldn't add much to what's already known. I thought I saw an article a few days ago saying he was trying to get money to build a UFO. Maybe that's just a rumor / fake news.

But I think I'll check out this podcast. I can listen to it next week.

I'm very intrigued to see where he and his group go and what they disclose. I think they are legitimately trying to get information out into the public. There are former DoD and CIA officials in his group. Let's hope they don't get, or aren't already, co-opted. Here's a few SOTT articles on them:

I listened to the podcast and although a lot of what he said was interesting, I didn't think it would really help people ultimately.

When he said he was working with DOD people, that was a red flag. And that he just went to the Pentagon to meet people. I know he's a rock star, but still it seems like they just "let him in". So I think that they're duping him and using him as a tool to spill the beans the way they want, and create their own narrative.

At one point he said that aliens are here to extract minerals or materials. And I was like, "Yeah, but we are the material they're extracting!" Then he says that he cannot tell us some of the bad things the aliens are doing, because people couldn't handle it or something. That it would be too much for us. And I'm thinking, "Well Knowledge protects! You could help someone help their self!"

So I think he was really too materialistic and nuts in bolts in his info. He doesn't show any indication of knowing about hyperdimensional reality. It seems like it's just for the money and he's trying to create a sort of sci-fi Disney with a little controlled disclosure, but not to the benefit of the general populace.

I watched it the other day and posted it on FB to get other people's opinions/input. Here is the post and a lot of comments:

I was also a fan of Blink-182 as an adolescent. Ufology is something Tom has actually been interested in for a long time, which is clear when you go back and listen to one of their earliest songs "Aliens Exist":
Hey mom, there's something in the backroom
Hope it's not the creatures from above
You used to read me stories
As if my dreams were boring
We all know conspiracies are dumb

What if people knew that these were real
I'd leave my closet door open all night
I know the CIA would say
What you hear is all hearsay
I wish someone would tell me what was right

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
I'm not like you

I am still a skeptic, yes, you know me
Been best friends and will be till we die
I got an injection
Of fear from the abduction
My best friend thinks I'm just telling lies
Alright

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
I'm not like you

Dark and scary, ordinary
Explanation, information
Nice to know ya, paranoia
Where's my mother, biofather

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
Twelve majestic lies

It's only been in recent years, though, that he's actually become involved in the field beyond just talking and singing about it. Personally, I think it's highly probable he's being taken for a ride. What you said here seems likely:

Yeah... I'm not buying it. What's the point of creating all of this hype and then saying "oh, but the extent of what I know is actually too frightening to share, so I can't tell you everything"? Unless his hands are really tied and he's being sworn to secrecy, which may be the case, and he's just pretending to agree to spin the narrative they pitch. Maybe he 'traded' his complicity, in a sense, agreeing to this in order to be let into the fold.

Possible. I honestly think Tom really does care about the topic and his interest is genuine, I'm just skeptical he really has any groundbreaking information and I suspect he's being used. It almost feels like the main thing they're using him for is to convince people that keeping the secrets has only ever been in our best interests, and that they're really good guys trying to protect us - it seems like he's on board with that idea now, saying stuff like "I don't think everyone should know everything." I guess we'll have to wait and see.
