From what I understand, I also don’t think that’s likely to happen in the way you describe it. As others have mentioned, it appears that life incarnated is about learning lessons for the soul. So in this scenario, would you have died unexpectedly at birth, or later on in life? If very young, then it may be that it was a lesson for your parents. In which case, them having another child and you returning may be a bit more likely. Although, if I was the parent I wouldn’t name my second child the same as the first one who died, as that would just be a painful reminder. However, that would be a different body, not the same one that you mention.

Now, if you were older, I think even more unlikely, as chances are there are choices you made in life that led you to that point and a premature death would mean that you didn’t take advantage of that life and its challenges to make good use of it. So you essentially ‘lose the slot’. You will get another chance, as you still have to learn the lessons your soul chose but I doubt it will be as that exact setup that you described, though a similar dynamic may exist, similar to what Oxajil described.

Another thought that comes to mind is that the concept ‘back in time’ is applicable to a 3rd density state. If you are the etheric dimension (5d), it is said to be a timeless state – so there is no "past" or "future". So the question is, since time is not linear in the sense we perceive it, are the options to incarnate and live lives on earth (or elsewhere) limited to choosing only those that have been experienced sequentially following the timeline of 3rd density or can one experience life incarnate in the past after having been incarnated in the future? If time is seen as more of a "space/location" then it doesn’t really matter "when" but more like a "where" when it comes to choosing what life to live, lessons to learn. Hence, once you give up that space, it's gone and you'd need to look for another one.

Interesting food for thought. I share in the opinion mentioned before that I would ask what would be the learning in repeating a cycle all over again in the same setting? Plus I wonder if such a possibility wouldn’t imply the danger of letting yourself out of the responsibility to experience the lessons your soul is supposed to learn in that specific setting. Ipsom, you ask a valid question. Why you have been thinking these thoughts, is showing that you are beginning to wake yourself up, expanding on your horizons, so to say. As you ask yourself these questions, it is opening up deeper levels of a need for more knowledge. And you ask ‘can you do this again, and now be able to do better next time’. Well believe it or not this scenario is unfolding at the same time, just in another parallel reality. This is why you now realize this. You are connecting to another whole you that is part of the infinite possibilities of realities that you may, or may not, be able to conceive just quite yet. There are realities, that you did what you would call a positive existence where everything was done to perfection. And there are realities where you have a negative realization where it is a polar opposite. And the infinite possibilities of variation in between each polarization. So, yes you are already doing this better and worse, in an infinite number of realities right now. This realization is just another lesson that you are now undertaking. A lesson that many of us here have done ourselves.

That will be boring don't you think so? :) Once You die it's over, we are here now on planeth eart to understand normal living life a man during his life, his problem and i can tell U from my observation that You are here to understand the death a little bit, in that case is very strong energry once it will come well You know.. Well, I guess that you didn't understand quite well the whole point at least as I can see.
First of all, death will come to all living creatures on earth. Life and death are different sides of the same coin. If you read sott every day and if you have a good diet and if you supplement with iodine does not mean you will live forever. It just means that you will understand your body, your machine, your mind and your objective reality much better. All that are just lessons.

And you say the once you die it is all over. Then if it is all over when you die, what is the whole point. What is the point if I learn my lessons during my life when it will be all over when I die. What is the point of learning in that case when it all ends and there is nothing after that?

That will be the same if I try to learn all the lessons from the third grade for example but I cant g to fourth grade because third grade is the end, I cant advance from there.

As I can see, the whole point is in advance. We learn our lessons so we can advance and the things that we are doing here on this forum are just very good tools that are helping us to learn and to advance. Lessons that are not learned in this life will come back in the next.
As Cs have said that it is the soul that's counts, not the body. Body is just a vehicle for the soul through this life suitable for existence in 3-rd density.
IF that vehicle is in good condition working optimally, you have better chances to learn your lessons and to advance on a higher level of existence, or to be one step closer to that.

There is no start and end, it is all about cycles. It looks linear only from our very short perspective.

I had a dream but, again i will continiue :) everything what you see during your dreams is not to to satisfy one's curiosity, but to learn. I'm not really satisfied from my past life time choices.. Now i saw all that to learn and don't make again the same mistakes, that is only one reason i find a explenation :) The Cosmic Mind give Us a signs only is up to us what we are going to with this :) Have a learning saturday everyone :)

I kinda agree with Biala84 about the learning from them, but there was one dream I had, I felt a certain familiarity to this woman, skinny, white, black hair, midtwenties or thirty, on a green one-piece dress with flowers, she was in a wooden house almost empty inside, looking outside the window, no glass, I could see through her eyes , like a farmer but too skinny to handle animals maybe?, outside there was just green grass and a sky with a few clouds, mid day.windy. no trees, no mountains, no flowers, just a green field of grass, I could feel the air coming through the glass-less windows, and moving the grass. The end.

I felt familiarity but saying that was me in a previous life would be far more than I can prove, I have no leads to confirm any of it.
Other than that there is nothing I can remember as far as dreams or memories.

My experience from past life time is very sad, because i suicuide myself.I call it dream, but correct words maybe will be a vision.... I saw a man with two children and i saw myself , i was a woman and i felt that feeling when you falling down very fast, but that time i could not understand the meaning of that situation. I was thinking ok i suicuide myself maybe it's possible, but why i have seen this?
After a year i went to work in a place where i met this people and then the feeling was coming... I give them the best of my part to help them in this life time ofcourse with a free will :) What i learn from that situation that in the world we live the bad forces trying to always make our lives impossible, but deffinetly we are one who are making our choices...
I think now when all that happend that is not important who we were in past life time, that already happend... I think that is important to know who we are right now. I think i also saw that, because the circle is going to close... Now i have to clean the mess i did before.

The best bet with (or without) this scenario, would be to live one's life such that what we will do, and what we ought to have done, will be identical.

We may or may not be able to reincarnate into the same body and situation for the purpose of a do-over -- but we do go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning in the same body and circumstances with a fresh chance to change something forward. Perhaps if we look at this daily occurrence as a similar opportunity to reincarnation, we might identify those things we would like to be better, those experiences we want to have, that person to hug, those tasks to complete and knowledge to gain...and just consciously do it. If we consistently move forward and upward by virtue of the idea that today is going to be the best we can make it, the best we can do -- we mindfully, energetically and physically affect our surroundings and hone our presence every single day. Tomorrow morning is never more than 24 hours away and we are already here. OSIT

I believe the idea that our past lives and actions influence this life and that it is important how we live this life to:

1. Make up or pay dues for past actions by doing a better job of choosing this time
2. Consciously attempt to create the future.
3. But it all revolves around lessons.

So, compensating for a past 'sin' by suffering may be only part of the lesson. (a further part being accepting and giving forgiveness/mercy for the past error and then letting it go and moving forward with the lessons learned. One thing is seems certain in my experience: it ain't always easy and it ain't always clear.)

The things are coming clear with a knowledge and experience, sometimes after... if U are looking U gonna find it :) The other experience that i ican share about that situation is that i was not there in that moment in that time to suffer or feel guilty it was a destiny who brought me there, when i saw all that situation i was thinking maybe they don't accept me, because the atmoshere in that place sometimes was ,,heavyy". Was not that, the problem was that the people i knew from past life time in that life time they decide to be a bad forces.. That is the trick that predator is using, is trying to fool you, is to belive in lies...
