Ben Underwood is blind but uses echolocation to "see". Featured on people magazine

Wow, I don't know what to say, this is amazing, you have to see this for yourself.

Edit: incredible this reminds me of the movie Daredevil,

He cannot see but his other four senses adapt with superhuman sharpness. Now with a form of echolocation he is able to "see" through the soundwaves in a room.

Now that is a real daredevil. It's quite amazing, but not surpised since our brains tend to find other pathways. I wish I had that ability.

Wow.... that is quite amazing. It's wonderful to see how someone turned his disability into an advantage. Seeing him navigate the streets like that is uncanny!

In the video where the reporter stood still (to avoid being hit by the pillow), Ben hit him bulls-eye! He can hear echos...even the heartbeat.

well ye imagine to master this skill while still being able to see, I mean imagine what you could achieve with it , if it was night you could still see everything , in bringer of the dawn the pleidans also talk about the power of the sound, well I can see that now.

What is it that you can't achieve without it, Adam? This boy developed his skill to overcome his lack of sight, so while being handicapped, he can lead more or less normal life. Now, you have eyes, so tell me - what are you lacking?

j0da, I think you're coming across a little strong here - it's good to try to keep things in perspective, i.e. making the right use of the centers. I think Adam was just expressing his awe at the ability.

Jeez, Shane..you are right. I may be too picky regarding "imagination" - too much time wasted on daydreaming about being superhero in my past I guess :(

*swoops in from the sky and lands down next to j0da, saving him from a coincidentally falling tree in the process*

I think the cool thing is, that kid is not an imaginary super hero, his "powers" are real. I think it would be handy to be aware of our surroundings without having to rely on our eyes so much. Hey are you thinking what I'm thinking? I just realised - you ARE a superhero j0da, I mean think about it - this group, this forum, is about SEEing the unseen. We see what most people on the planet don't, even though they are all looking at the same things with physical eyes no worse than ours. We are removing our mechanical blinders and learning about how things work in this world, which makes us see a lot more than our normal perception ever allowed, and I think that's totally superheroic and way more important and useful than any extra physical senses could ever be. Ultimately, we're developing something real and eternal, and I wouldn't trade that for any physical superpowers, like ever. Except maybe x-ray vision...

Anyways I gotta run, I hear a cry for help!

*swoops into the air and flies away, with a quick stop-over to get a haircut from the helicopter blades of that unmarked black chopper eternally hanging above this forum*. Hey, it's filled with agents but it has its uses! :D

Here's a snippet from the Wave (bolded as it is in the Wave).
The essence of Creation is the fact that, beneath the empirical, observable "real world" is the realm of potentials and our physical world is manifested out of the underlying potentialities by our perspective. The "gift of Free Will" of the Creator is our ability to CHOOSE our perspective. We can choose "living water" that becomes "a spring of water welling up continually within," to "eternal life/creation," or we can choose the water from the "well of Jacob the supplanter," which will leave us thirsty again and again. And it is in this choice that we come to the remark of Don Juan "... As awareness reaches levels higher than the toes, tremendous maneuvers of perception become a matter of course."

Such a choice is a "maneuver of perception," though it is only in retrospect that I can even say this. I was as ignorant of what was happening to me as a person could be.

Further maneuvers of perception amount to the ability to make every choice based on "seeing the unseen." Every time we choose, based on knowledge/love, rather than chemical/emotional love or assumption/wishful thinking love, we are giving a push to the swing of amplifying our Frequency Resonance Vibration. And such amplification increases our polarization and we "grow."

The problem is, in the beginning, when we begin to use discipline to try to "see the unseen," we are like a blind man stumbling through a maze. We are Theseus in the lair of the Minotaur, guided only by the thread of Ariadne. Our ability to perceive the Noumenal world, the activities of 4th density, requires great attention, great discipline, and an ability to "face with serenity odds that are not included in our expectations." We have to learn the art of "facing infinity without flinching." And it is this process that the Cassiopaeans are facilitating. What they tell us about the Noumenal world, the 4th density realm, is not supposed to terrify us in the end, it is supposed to wake us up to the odds that are facing us that are NOT according to our expectations.

And, as we begin to learn to really SEE, we begin to make some experimental choices based on what we are seeing. Some of them work, some of them don't. We adjust our course gradually, learning what amplifies our polarity and what damps our polarity.
It does seem analogous to what that kid went through physically, only this is much more profound and significant in its implications for our life and existence than a physical change would be, and it's something "normal people" don't even daydream about because they aren't aware of the significance or even the reality of what it is like to not live in lies, since it's all they know. Even their daydreams are severely stunted - directed by comic books etc. And it's scary when even our dreams are controlled by physicality-worshipping pathocracy, when we can't even fathom what can be "better" than this, and our dreams for "better" life/world/existence are just as delusional/managed as our current life/world/reality. It's like being in a box with all apparent exits leading simply to different color boxes, pretending to be "ways out". Scary stuff :|

It is truly amazing. Not just what this kid can do, but what I've seen others do in the face of adversity.

When I think of what some people had to go through simply to survive in this world, I am in awe. Then realize how sorely lacking I am in that particular type of courage and tenacity.

We think we have empathy. But when we truly try to put ourselves in these people's places, just to imagine for one minute what it's like, the first thing that usually comes to mind is, "wow, I'm glad this is not my lesson." Or something to that effect. It's times like this when I try to remember who really has difficult lessons, and who's just whining.

actually no, I don't have eyeS, I have only one, due to an accident when I was 7 years old, I lost my right eye(the eye is still there but I can only see 5% with it), and went trough lot of self pity etc, but then I also didn't knew self pity was a self destruct program, but I got over it and can live with it now, so I admire this kid for what he has achieved.

Dammit... Adam - I'm really sorry man. I feel down for generalization trap and this is how it ended. I've just received hard lesson :O

Please, accept my apologies.

apologies accepted :)

That is truly amazing. The clicking reminded me of the tribe in Africa that uses clicks in their language. hxxp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xhosa_language I wonder if that is where the family got their idea?
Inspiring story. Thanks for the link!
