Trump Re-elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

Trump signed an executive order about glyphosate, and I don't know if it will lead to immunity for manufacturers.

I’m not saying I like it… but RFK Jr who has long been an advocate of tying to get rid of Glysophate, said this recently:If we banned Glyphosate outright in the U.S.,it would put 80% of our farmers out of business — Sadly, “we are dependent on something that we know makes us sick.”He also recognized this is making a lot of people sick, especially farmers… BUT, RFK JR says we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel by totally ELIMINATING Pesticides and Herbicides from our food supply with laser technology that can kill both bugs and weeds. The only obstacle is making it affordable for farmers. In my mind, I think why do we need it at all? The answers I find is a mix that points to the scale of food we produce makes it very difficult. It truly sucks… Ultimately, I believe this needs to be, and probably will be PHASED OUT over time.It is a good sign that he as the HHS Secretary recognizes these things publicly. It is an even better sign he says we have a solution. It just needs to happen faster.

Let's be accurate about Trump's EO regarding phosphorus and glyphosate-based herbicides.

The only legal immunity provided by this EO is immunity to companies yet to be specifically determined from being sued for failure to satisfy other contracts while complying with this order. It isn't giving anybody legal immunity for causing cancer.

This EO is all about farmer's costs and food prices.

Farmers have said the president’s tariffs on imported herbicides and fertilizers are driving up the cost of crops. There is only one domestic producer of elemental phosphorus and glyphosate-based herbicides. This will help keep those costs down and therefore keep our food prices down.

RFK Jr has successfully sued over the cancer causing effects of these elements. They understand the issues here better than anybody else, but they also understand the predicament we're in.

During a May 20 Senate Appropriations Committee hearing RFK Jr. stated “There’s a million farmers who rely on glyphosate. One hundred percent of corn in this country relies on glyphosate. We are not going to do anything to jeopardize that business model.”

Until there is a safer/cheaper alternative, I'm not sure what you expect Trump to do here and why this would be something to cause anybody to stop supporting him.

We'll see what actually comes of this;

The video is called a Tale of Two Trumps, a takeoff on Dickens a Tale of Two Cities
Trump is still a bit of a mystery to me; he has a lot of narcissistic/grandiose traits, but he does not seem predatory or hostile to any particular person. How much of his persona is an act, and does the mask ever come off? Is there a mask, or is it what you see is basically what you get? He may be a narcissist, but not so much on the malevolent side of the 'spectrum'. Reminds me of the Little Feat Song:

"Time loves a hero, but only time will tell if he's a legend from heaven or a long way from hell" - but I imagine the answer is more refined and detailed. Trump is certainly no hero in the classic sense, at least. More like a 'force of nature' or used car salesman, I guess.

That would certainly provide distraction from the Epstein files release and the fallout from that! A Trump card if I've ever seen one. However, it would also have the potential to blow the lid off the "topic of topics." Then we'd have a "feline nation" for sure!

Probably just a bluff though.
It's quite the concoction brewing: war in the Middle East, Announcement of real UAP/UFOs, the fire in the swamp from J. E., Zelinsky, Lindsay Graham, and a host of usual characters, including Obama, but that's not all, there may be a surprise guest appearance of any number of space or underground critters... It's not funny, I know, but it sure seems like a ridiculous plot for a movie.
