U.K. Drama 'The Psychopath Next Door'

I did not mean to come down so harsh on the Brits, sorry. :/
I actually like it quite a bit...it's just, well, sometimes funny to be a foreigner here.

Concerning the series I watched a little bit on YT and it confirmed my suspicions. Psychopath is pretty evil, but oh, so awfully cute at the same time. So why not forgive her her misgivings? - That's the message I get here...

Isn't TPND a one-off?

Yes, H-qkgqe, in a way. It was a "pilot" that is to say, a one-off to to see what kind of reception it received.

There seems to be a thing about being borne on the Island which seems to give British people an aloof attitude towards all other people not borne on the Island. Possibly this is more what is going on than indifference

Us "Brits" are born in a variety of places, including myself and not on this island at all. Looking around my place of work I can see about 50 British people majority of us born in other countries. India, Africa, Carribbean all over really, as British as the people born here. I think it more of a kind of cultural "reservedness" that others may perceive as Aloofness and all ethnic groups and communities seem to adapt to it very readily, including my own!

At times it frustrates me, at others times I am quite grateful for it. At times I am sure that I am even guitly of joining in with it.

the point of choosing an attractive actress might also have been to denonstrate that anyone might be a Psychopath, that they don't cofirm to a stereotype from outward appearances, not jscary-eyed axe weilding maniacs. Even a glamourous therapist, sould be one.

The ending was just a bit silly, as though the author wanted to show us how the mind of a Psychopath worked, but had no idea how to end it !

I watched the first episode and it was interesting. Does anyone know when is the next episode out?

Hi Herr Eisenheim, i think as I mentioned earlier, it was indeed a "one-off" a Pilot to measure response. No sequel scheduled yet.
From the info available in the net.

I see - like a teaser - that's not fair :(

It was entertaining but I will not loose my sleep if they decide to cancel the show , I thought the portrayal of psychopath's character was pretty superficial at least in this pilot episode, maybe they had in mind to develop it better in further sequels.
