Unintentionally sexual church signs

HiThere

The Living Force
Should have given a little more thought to the phrasing before putting up these signs:

EDIT: I now see that one of the last pictures is inappropriate and not very humorous, with its reference to exploitation of children. Mods please delete this thread if you find its content offensive, sorry for the noise.

:P I think they do that on purpose to just get people in church. It's combining our biggest "sin" of sex, which got us in 3D STS, with the programming of church. And they have a legit and ambiguous way of doing it in this manner on billboards.

I've often wondered about this. I'm pretty sure some of them are intentional since some effort has to be put into thinking them up in order to be different from the others?

Also, I wonder about what goes though the minds of any people IRL who recognize sexual suggestiveness. The kids and non-believers who go to church anyway prolly just troll it. The neurotic prolly just get more neurotic.

Aside: I found the "vulgar" sticker placement page funnier, especially since I've so often sort of yelled "stupid, stupid, stupid!" when I've found a sticker covering the most important info on a product.

To think that they do this intentionally to get "customers" says it all, really - snake oil salesmen who doesn't think too hard about the ethical aspect.

My take, too, especially when I see the church car wash fundraisers with little female teeny-boppers running around in bikinis! Some say, "Sex sells"?

We had a psycho-teacher of biology in middle school (11-15 yrs old) who used to proselytize heavily for religion in class. He was very theatrical and had some kind of a hypnotic power over the majority of the kids. One day he was talking about an encounter between him and the archangel Gabriel as a secret between him and the class. He said: "One night I woke up in my bedroom and I saw a man..." And I interrupted loudly saying: "Strange, usually I dream about women". A male deity-based and psychopathic religion has necessarily that connotation.

LOL some of them are awesome !
I also think they do it on purpose .... marketing and money everywhere ....

Me either! They even have logos! Now I understand why I sometimes am asked to create a logo for a church, religion there seems to be at least open about their commercial approach :P
