Not sure what to make of this... Propaganda? Govt. Spending or just BS?

Although I have noticed several new Ford and Chevy trucks on the road lad lately, I have to ask myself if this article isn't just propaganda to encourage spending. While many companies do spend cash reserves in 4th quarter (these # are for 3rd quarter) on new equipment to avoid taxes on profits, I have to wonder how many of these "truck & SUV" purchases are govt. spending. In recent years the alphabet agencies have taken a liking to this type of vehicle. They provide room for extra personnel, tactical equipment, scanning/scale equipment and have the suspension to accommodate armor and power to propel it all down the road. Ford and GM also seem to be the preferred maker for govt. vehicles.

Personally many of the people I know that have upgraded their vehicle didn't actually buy a new one but simply a newer one. Many of these Trucks cost $45-65K
