Venezuela: Resistance or disintegration?

.. desperate attempts to seize power continued to fail.

if you look at the begining, Guaidó announced army support , assuming the officers would switch sides to overthrow Maduro. That's the plan which failed (and continued to fail).

I don't know if people here is aware about the Theory of Subversion (developed by ex-KGB, currently FSB) which aims 6 main areas of target country (education, culture, laws, jury, politics and ARMY). When the army is controled by the subversives intruders, they only get out of conquered power if they get a shot. At least symbolically, ALL they are trained in this way.

the idea is conquer the power and don't get away anymore (examples - Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc)

only a very well trained and equipped army removes them from power.

Morales falled on Bolivia, because lost the support of Army, for example.

I wonder, if this realization might be one of the reasons behind Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro giving high ranking Military Officers positions in his Political Administration? Maybe, might be the reason President Trump also aligned his Administration with high ranking Generals and Pentagon personnel?

Bolsonaro giving high ranking Military Officers positions in his Political Administration? Maybe, might be the reason President Trump also aligned his Administration with high ranking Generals and Pentagon personnel?

good questions!!

about Bolsonaro, I sure can say that the Military Officers as part of his personal history and trustworthy persons to form his Administration. The army on Brazil never commit with comunists, because they know very well what is a Proletarian Dictatorship. Since (fabianist) Fernando Henrique Cardoso, the army was being scrapped and gone to disappeared, because did not condone with subversion of the country here.

on time of protests against (impeached) Dilma Roussef, she tryed to order the army against people going to the streets and the answer not only by high command, but All Officers said -- We'll never fight against peacefull people on the streets. They are our family and friends. We only go there to protect their citizenship rights. And all police organs responded in the same tone, so the whole political balance tended to flip from left to right after this event.

with this reaction, Bolsonaro rises by owns efforts, telling what people wanted to happen, so he virtually elected himself alone by hitting the lefttists through social media. When he suffered the knife attack, everyone knew he would win with great advantage..

---

about Trump, I'm not sure, but as far as I know, the military whom sought him out as president, because they even considered taking a coup against Obama, if there were no candidates supported by army. I think if DEMs win, the war against Russia (and allies) would be a fact.

I can't believe some of the schemes the opposition comes up with ... to get Maduro to relinquish his Presidency? Russia has got used to constant US threats for cooperating with Venezuela, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with journalists in Mexico, the Ministry’s press service reported on February 7.

Sanctions against NK Rosneft are a USA’s attempt to punish Russia for its cooperation with Venezuela, Lavrov said answering journalists’ questions.

He explained, “The US officials straightforwardly say that Washington is committed to the ‘Monroe Doctrine’, and that it must be followed.”

According to Sergey Lavrov, this approach is “an insult to all the Latin American countries.” He added that, if certain countries are comfortable under US control, it is their sovereign right.

The Monroe Doctrine is a declaration of US foreign policy principles. The Doctrine was announced on December 2, 1823, in the annual address of US President D. Monroe to the US Congress. The idea of the doctrine is “America for the Americans,” i.e. the restriction of European influence in the Americas. In addition to North America, it also denies any countries except the USA from the right to interfere with affairs of the South American countries.

A good move - Washington should explain itself and give "just cause" for applying additional Sanctions?

Meanwhile.., on the ground the little people are experiencing the outcome of all the high level chess.

A couple of observation/questions with this...

Is this an honest piece of journalism, documenting the work of crisis workers trying to help the world and salve wounds for no other reason than to serve and to honor the lessons of the world? Decent people with big hearts trying their best?

Or is it propaganda designed to create leverage points for more chess moves at the elite level? -The organization on camera doing all this heartfelt work was IsraAID:

"IsraAID was founded as an umbrella organization consisting of Jewish and Israeli search and rescue, medical and relief groups that provide aid worldwide to people in need, regardless of race, religion, nationality or disability. Today, it is an independent humanitarian aid agency and has worked on emergency response and long-term development projects in more than 50 countries worldwide.[12] The group's CEOs are Yotm Polizer and Voni Glick,[13] and its global chair is Meira Aboulafia.[14]

IsraAID is privately funded by individual Israeli and North American donors."

Israel is a locus for some great darkness, and yet some of the best and most powerful people I know are Jews. In great darkness, points of light must be very bright to create a balance, one might think.

Anyway.., this struck me as worth sharing.
