Venezuela Situation: US Declares War on 'Narco-Terrorism'

Diosdado Cabello questioned the German ambassador after warning about Venezuela

The Minister of the Interior and Justice said that he recently saw the diplomat "walking calmly” in the El Ávila National Park, while the German government advised not to travel to Venezuela due to the increase in military activity in the region.

"What does a German ambassador to Venezuela think? It would be nice to ask him. In a besieged country, according to them, the ambassador is enjoying himself in the streets and then his government puts out something saying that Venezuela is in danger. Do the ambassadors not recommend anything or is everything pure gamelot?", expressed Cabello.

The words of the official leader respond to the decision of the German Foreign Ministry, which on Monday advised not to travel to Venezuela due to the “increased military activity” in the region, a warning issued after the United States called on civil aviation to take extreme precautions when flying over the country and the southern Caribbean.

The German statement notes that the situation in Venezuela “can worsen at any time” and mentions risks such as roadblocks, reinforced police controls, restrictions on communications, as well as possible closures of borders and airspace under the current Foreign Commotion Decree.

It also warns that German and European citizens could face intensive interrogations or detention upon entering the country,
on accusations of supporting terrorism, and stresses that consular assistance in such cases has been limited.

Complementing the previous polishing about the ambassador of Germany, here to the German ambassador, walking through the "ruins" of Venezuela, the "dangerous" mountains of Avila. Quietly sightseeing with Matthias Grünert, one of the most virtuoso organists in Germany to perform and no less, concerts in the heart of the dangerous Caracas under the US military siege.

Will the concerts be a total disaster due to the low influx of people in the face of the national threat that prevents them from reaching the concerts? I doubt it.

Hypocritical and immoral liars.

An extraordinary walk with the Honorable Ambassador of alemaniaenvenezuela, Dr.Volkerpellet; together with Maestro Matthias Grünert, one of the most virtuoso organists of Germany who visited us in Venezuela to give us a series of concerts.

"I'm enjoying nature" on ig and enjoying the military conflict on another channel.

Apparently, the Colombian government is seeking a plan (CIA?) for Nicolás Maduro to hand over power to a transitional government tasked with organizing new elections, which would guarantee him safety from persecution.

Colombian government denies supporting a negotiated exit of Maduro after statements by his foreign minister

This is the "supposed" audio where Colombia's support for a transitional government is mentioned:

Bloomberg publishes the controversial audio of the Colombian foreign minister in which she reveals the Petro government's position on Maduro's negotiated exit

In the midst of the controversy over a Bloomberg publication in which the Colombian foreign minister, Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio, had talked about the possibility of a “safe exit” of dictator Nicolás Maduro from power, an audio of the interview with the Colombian official was released.

In the piece, published by Bloomberg, the interviewer can be heard asking Villavicencio about the situation in Venezuela and the possibility of Maduro handing over power in the South American country.

"If there were a plan that would guarantee Maduro a transition without him in power, do you think President Maduro should consider it?asked the Bloomberg reporter.

"Yes, I think he has actually considered it, that there may be a way out, a transition where he can leave without having to go through prison and that someone comes who can make that transition,” the chancellor replied.

Villavicencio went on to say that the idea was for there to be a transition in the country through an election.

"That there may be elections that are legitimized with a transparent process, because it would be the healthiest thing, is what we tell ourselves and what is being proposed to him, and I think Maduro would be about to accept,” the foreign minister said.

“Would you be about to accept it?", the journalist asked after the surprising response of the Colombian foreign minister, regarding the possibility of an agreement between the United States and the Maduro regime.

“I think I would accept that approach” the chancellor confirmed, in the middle of the interview.

In the audio it can be seen that the journalist continues to ask what is the reason why the foreign minister would think that Maduro would accept a plan to leave power peacefully, to which she replies that it is something probable.

"Because, well, he has advanced looking for mediations, but another thing is that the United States wants to accept, that in order to mediate the two parties must accept,” Villavicencio said.

During the interview, the official also referred to the mediation of countries such as Brasil, so that the tensions between Trump and Maduro decrease.

Okay, so it's not like many hypocrites usually say in front of the news "Only Venezuelans should solve their problems" when we see that all these meddlers are deciding for the people, behind the people's backs and even deciding for the president himself.

This lady is not talking to her relatives, friends or whatever about a trivial situation, she is talking about decisions that only the head of state of the country she is talking about, should make and inform and no one else.
She says that "Maduro has considered it." And she renames the usual theme that Petro maintains, "Making new and transparent elections." The same thing that Petro asked for. In a sense she is not "lying or distorting" she is holding up part of Petro's thinking.

What I'm saying is that the CIA doesn't need to intervene much here. Just push, because the division is already created by Petro's way of thinking. I do not rule out the possibility that this is also a sabotage to antagonize Petro and Maduro, which is not that they require much effort for that, for something Maduro has been very patient with Petro's attitude too, very!.

Everyone who has followed Maduro's actions and words, proves the opposite. I do not rule out that it is the last option, even I consider it the most favorable option to avoid unnecessary mortality. But it's one thing for a citizen of your country to say it, but for it to be said by a representative of the government of another country, obviously it's not the most favorable thing, some will say "ah it's a simple opinion, anyone can say it" well, politically it's not the right thing, because that's called intervention. Expressing decisions for another country in a delicate situation where every word serves as a weapon against the government that is mentioned.

There is nothing out of context here. She talks "about what Maduro thinks", she is not in Maduro's head and Maduro already said:

On Monday, Trump said he would talk to Maduro “at some point”" and the Chavista leader replied hours later: "Anyone who wants to talk to Venezuela will talk face to face”.

I think she should be dismissed for saying those things that complicate bilateral relations in a conflict situation that affects both sides, but if her president Petro, does not think something very different either, it is normal to present him now as "decontextualized":
Petro government denies supporting a negotiated exit of Maduro

The Government of Colombia denied that it supports a plan for a negotiated exit from power of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, after an interview of the foreign minister of Colombia, published on Wednesday, in which she spoke of that possibility and was in favor of an eventual plan for a change of government in the neighboring country.

“The information that has circulated in the media in the last few hours about Colombia's alleged support for a plan for a negotiated exit of Nicolás Maduro from power does not correspond to what was expressed by Foreign Minister Villavicencio Mapy in the interview,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Colombian government “has no interference in the internal affairs of other countries and respects the sovereignty of the brotherly country of Venezuela,” adds the text, which speaks of “decontextualized information” in the media.

The government of Colombia did not recognize the results of the 2024 presidential elections, in which the authorities proclaimed Maduro the winner, but has not called for the departure of the president. President Gustavo Petro maintains his own escalation of tensions with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, and assured that Bogota would not support an invasion of Venezuela.

"(Trump) is angry that I do not support the Americans with the Colombian army to invade Venezuela. No, sir, what stupid Colombian can think of helping to invade where his cousins and nephews are, to have them killed like in Gaza," Petro said in October.

Well... again... what about calling the elections a fraud, asking for a vote count and not recognizing, what it is? interference!. Once again, the contradiction.

Ecopetrol is the pillar of the Colombian economy (representing ~4-5% of GDP).
Petro asked to leave the "oil and coal” and made a simile with the Chavez regime: "It is the path of social inequality and death”

The president said that, in part, the social crisis in Venezuela is a consequence of the decisions related to crude oil made during the first regime of the neighboring country.

According to the political analysis medium Foreign Policy, the hydrocarbon industry in Venezuela completely collapsed. They highlight that seven years of mismanagement, political purges, the dismantling of the management structures of Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) and the abandonment of traditional business policies, all promoted by the Nicolás Maduro regime since 2014, deteriorated the sector and caused great economic instability in the country.

The Colombian president added that the Venezuelan case illustrates how an economy based on non-renewable resources can lead to serious economic and political problems. "Look at what's happening to Venezuela, that we no longer know if it's democracy, we no longer know if it's revolution and the people don't want them,” he said, in a criticism that mixes environmental, social and governance aspects.

But this is how a majority of people in Venezuela have decided and only they know what they have decided and what they must endure, endure, suffer, accept, etc. because it is "only the Venezuelans' problem", right? So what does it matter to Petro how the revolution is made or not in Venezuela? Petro is more Venezuelan than the Venezuelan.

When it is convenient it is "problems of Venezuelans" and when it is convenient "it is a problem of democracy" according to everyone's interpretation as well. 🤬

Gustavo Petro: Chavez and Maduro led Venezuela to depend on oil #24May

This Monday night the presidential candidate of Colombia, Gustavo Petro said that Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro led Venezuela to ”depend on oil", something that, in his opinion, is an economic model that their political rivals intend to carry out.

Petro indicated that one of his government proposals is for Colombia to "depend on agriculture, industry and tourism on the basis of a knowledge society.”

"Those who want to continue maintaining Colombia's dependence on oil are my political rivals, some in the government and others in the campaign. They are more like Chavez and Maduro," he said in a debate with the other candidates.

I understand that he has said this as a strategy to become president but it has been a while and he continues to maintain the same narrative. I repeat, Petro is manipulated through his sense of justice and he is in time to develop his conscience or he will be the next Jordan Peterson but only this new version if he will support Gaza because with Peterson that part of the programming did not work and it was precisely what set off the alarms to most of them because many did not believe it or see the signs much earlier.

In Venezuela when it talks about the sovereignty, pawns, the "follies" of another country, that's when it starts to be attacked, by that country.

When Uribe, Santos and Duque and all the servants of the United States obtained the presidency of their countries in South America, Chavez in his time and now Maduro, would come out to congratulate them! not to acknowledge, to congratulate them and that's it. Not enter into polemics, not even to call for a recount of the votes again.

Chavez even made it annoying because one did not know what was the nonsense he had with Uribe that one day they insulted each other and the next day they threw flowers at each other, a novel. That level of "diplomacy" was reached with Uribe! so why doesn't Petro let himself be loved? (laughs). I don't understand that with someone with whom things could be better between Colombia and Venezuela now, Petro complicates it... it's amazing.

Maduro also followed those steps "do not attack until you are attacked" and that has always been the case. Milei had already been attacking Venezuela as a candidate. It was obvious that insults came and went from long before.

Although "diplomacy" I think they use it very often as a "euphemism" mostly and not even that anymore, totally indecent. Well, nothing is complete in life (laughs).

If one day Petro is part of your sessions with the Cass and for some reason is included in the topic, great. With too much calmness or acceptance will be, I am carrying all this. If it turns out that Petro is not as "weird" as it seems to me, that day I will question my thoughts about it as I did with Trump and Charlie Kirk, so far for me he is a Trojan horse or that he's willing to be in order to save his own "back".

Meanwhile, Colombia and Brasil are in mode: For Colombia and Brasil to be at peace, it is necessary to get rid of Maduro.

Trump says he held a phone call with Maduro, but did not give details.

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters he had a phone call with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, but did not elaborate on the details of the call when asked Sunday aboard Air Force One.

“I don't want to comment on it; the answer is yes,” Trump said. “I wouldn't say it went right or wrong. It was a phone call”

The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump and Maduro spoke by phone earlier this month.

Trump also told reporters that his warning on social media this weekend that Venezuelan airspace should be considered closed was not a sign that an airstrike is imminent.

“Don't assume anything about it,”
the president said.

Trump said he made the airspace warning “because we consider that Venezuela is not a very friendly country."

Maduro reappears and puts an end to rumors that he fled amid tensions with the US

Maduro and senior members of his government have not commented on the phone call with Trump.

Well, after waiting for the most important call in Latin America between Trump and Venezuela, the tension over "what will they have talked about" drives some crazy and leaves in continuous tension in others. There are no details about it, Trump has said "Don't assume anything about it" and Maduro has not spoken about it either.

But it does not cease to strike me very much that after so long, it is now that an investigation is opened into the deaths of civilians due to the attacks in the Caribbean. Coincidence?

Venezuela opens investigation into alleged US "extrajudicial killings” in the Caribbean

The Assembly of Venezuela will initiate an investigation into the alleged "extrajudicial executions" of Venezuelans in the military bombings that the United States initiated three months ago against vessels allegedly transporting drugs in the Caribbean.

The president of the Assembly and close collaborator of President Nicolás Maduro, Jorge Rodríguez, announced on Sunday after meeting with relatives of the victims, that a commission of deputies will be formed to investigate “the serious events that led to the murder of Venezuelans in the waters of the Caribbean Sea.”

It is the first time since the beginning of the US operations that the ruling party has publicly announced a meeting with relatives of the deceased.

We know that Trump is not told everything and false information comes to him and conveniently, this comes out just in almost very recent hours before the "hot call too".

New York Times: Maria Corina Machado lied to Trump with false information to encourage a military intervention against Venezuela

Documents and sources cited by The New York Times confirm that María Corina Machado lied directly to US President Donald Trump, giving him fabricated information with the explicit intention of promoting a military intervention against Venezuela. The reports reveal that Machado presented manipulated data, fabricated narratives and accusations without real basis in order to induce the president to consider military actions.

The investigation shows that Machado assured President Trump that Nicolás Maduro directly controlled criminal organizations such as the Aragua Train and the so-called Cartel of the Suns. These claims, presented by Machado as "verified intelligence” were later refuted by technical analyses, verifications by US agencies and testimonies from former officials involved in the process. The information Machado delivered was false, deliberately designed to create a sense of immediate threat.

Machado's strategy consisted of fabricating a national emergency scenario, inflating figures, inventing criminal links and presenting operational assumptions that never existed, all in order to convince President Trump that Venezuela represented a direct risk to hemispheric security and that, therefore, a military intervention was “necessary and urgent.”

This episode reveals an extremely dangerous political behavior: María Corina Machado tried to drag Venezuela into an armed conflict based on lies, putting the lives of millions of citizens at risk. His action was not a miscalculation or a misinterpretation; it was a conscious, premeditated action aimed at generating a foreign military clash on Venezuelan territory.

His decision to manipulate information to directly influence the President of the United States reflects an open willingness to sacrifice national sovereignty and place the country in a scenario of violence and devastation in order to promote his personal political agenda.
This behavior has become one of the most serious, irresponsible and contrary to the national interest acts committed by a Venezuelan public figure in recent times.

A couple of hours ago I read this:

Trump's threats bring the war with Venezuela closer while contradictions and legal fears increase

A political risk

Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, a retired Navy captain and fighter pilot, said on "State of the Union” that, based on what he knew about the attack, he would not have executed the order to carry out a second attack. "If what has been reported is accurate, I have serious concerns about anyone in that chain of command crossing a line that should never be crossed. We are not Russia. We are not Iraq”" Kelly said. “They have made a mess of trying to explain to us in the Armed Services Committee how this is legal, without sharing all the information, which is really worrying. But attacking survivors in the water, that's clearly not legal."

The Pentagon warned Kelly that he could be recalled to duty for a court martial over a video he filmed with other Democratic lawmakers reminding military personnel that they are not required to carry out illegal orders. The lawmakers have said Trump endangered their safety after accusing them of ”seditious conduct, punishable by death." Trump has since denied that he was “making death threats” to the group.

The House and Senate armed services committees have committed to rigorous oversight of the administration's operations in the Caribbean.

A surprising pardon announcement.

Concern about the Trump administration's motives in Latin America is also fueled by an extraordinary announcement by the president that he plans to pardon former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, barely a year after he began serving a 45-year federal sentence for drug trafficking.

The president's pardon of a leader who operated his country like a narco-state would seriously undermine his justification for using military force against Maduro, whom he accuses of the same crime.

“He was the leader of one of the largest criminal enterprises that has ever been convicted in American courts. And less than a year after his conviction, President Trump is pardoning him, which suggests that President Trump doesn't care about drug trafficking,” Virginia Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine said on CBS' “Face the Nation.” "If you don't care about drug trafficking... then what is this Venezuela issue really about?”

Well, we must not forget Daniel Noboa, who heads the list of the largest Drug Trafficker in the Caribbean and works "catch me if you can" with Petro, against Drug Trafficking in Colombia and Ecuador, that is, against Noboa himself!. Of little comedies!.

All this has been very convenient a few hours after the call between Trump and Maduro, especially Maduro's insistence on talking directly with Trump and the importance of whoever he had next to him, whether Marco Rubio or another person with a real willingness to seek a solution.

That is, so that the information/proposal that they had to deliver to Trump would not be misrepresented, taking into account especially because Maduro, before becoming president, was a long-time follower of Venezuela, and very good, so he knows very well how to handle himself in those waters of negotiations.

I remember hearing in a video that Trump himself is trying to prevent a possible political career of Marco Rubio, that Trump is giving him enough power to make it look bad, to make him fall.

And that reminds me of this moment between Trump and MR:

"Marco Rubio is in charge. Good luck, Marco. And I'm very, very happy or very worried about it, now we know who to blame if something goes wrong," Trump said.

Maduro says "Marco Rubio wants Trump to get blood on his hands."

All this seems to me like the scene in a movie where the president, due to erroneous information, is a few seconds from pressing the button, until millimeters from pressing it, he is told the truth and the villain who lied to the president is imprisoned.

This has become a race to show proof.

The U.S. has issued another NOTAM for Venezuela, this time covering the country’s southern borders. It remains in effect until February 2026.

Meanwhile, American media claim that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro supposedly agreed to step down, but only in 18 months. According to those same reports, Washington rejected the offer and said it would allow Maduro and his family safe departure only if he resigns immediately.

It is possible that part of the reason for the United States' repeated order to close Venezuela's airspace was due to information about a plane that departed from Caracas, headed for the border with the Brazilian state of Roraima, and then returned. The plane was identified as a “government VIP plane” used by Maduro:
According to ADSB Exchange, which monitors flight tracking data, the plane departed from Caracas and headed for the border with the Brazilian state of Roraima before returning to the Venezuelan capital.
According to the website, the plane landed at Santa Elena de Uairn airport, about 10 kilometers from the Brazilian border in the municipality of Paracaima, which is just over a 12-minute drive. The route tracked by ADSB Exchange then shows that the plane returned to Caracas.

Aviao-do-regime-venezuelano-viaja-para-a-fronteira-com-o-Brasil.webp
The YV2984 aircraft is part of the Venezuelan regime's fleet and has already been sanctioned by the United States. In March 2020, the aircraft was mentione
d in the sanctions list published by OFAC, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control. This means that the plane can be seized if it enters US territory or allied countries.
According to those same reports, Washington rejected the offer and said it would allow Maduro and his family safe departure only if he resigns immediately.
According to the Nuevo Herald newspaper, President Trump made a direct offer to Nicolás Maduro to guarantee safe passage out of Venezuela for him, his wife Cilia Flores, and their son in exchange for his immediate resignation. The proposal, confirmed by Senator Markwayne Mullin to CNN, was presented as the “last chance” to avoid military escalation.
The question, or what can be inferred, is that if Maduro's proposals were rejected, he would surely be protecting his family by taking them out of the country across the border with Brazil, as well as taking other documents and valuables (gold?) with them, thereby preparing for what may or will be imminent.

Tonight, Trump will hold a meeting to discuss the next steps regarding Venezuela, CNN reports, citing its own sources.

In the coming hours, the White House will host a meeting between Donald Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and several presidential advisers.
The meeting will focus on the situation in Venezuela and the next steps Washington will take regarding the South American country.
CNN adds that Marco Rubio is one of the supporters of taking military action against Maduro's government.
The Oval Office meeting comes as lawmakers continue to question the legality of the US strikes on alleged drug boats in the region, which have killed more than 80 people. The legality of the strikes has been questioned as the US is not officially in a war with Venezuela.
CNN reported last week citing sources familiar with the matter that the US carried out a follow-up strike on a suspected drug vessel after an initial attack did not kill everyone on board.
