Nature, the international journal of science, published a new article confirming the intimate link between information and thermodynamics, through the experimental verification of Landauer’s principle.

It would simply mean that the entropy concept, where no energy dissipation system can get back the energy it lost, should be replaced by the information concept, where the universe looses information, transforming it in energy.
Then, in an universe of information, what happens for this lost information, even when it transforms in energy, which cannot return in full the initial power (a principle of thermodynamics) ? How may the universe still contain information ?
What about consciousness (as an electromagnetic field across all dimensions and densities ?), introducing new informations able to give new directions ?..
Anyway, there is a need for a new physics of information !

Rolf Landauer argued that the erasure of information is a dissipative process. A minimal quantity of heat, proportional to the thermal energy and called the Landauer bound, is necessarily produced when a classical bit of information is deleted. A direct consequence of this logically irreversible transformation is that the entropy of the environment increases by a finite amount.
